Webfoot 16-1 Brain

Webfoot Jrs. is the only high-level club in the Eugene area and has been since 1999. They have produced top-level teams for 20+ years and churn out top Oregon recruits year after year, most notably Claire Hoffman (University of Washington). Their 16-1 Brian has taken 14 athletes on their roster, a notably larger-sized roster. This means lineups may be changing routinely to get players on the court. However, there are some athletes that are sure to be seen in every lineup.

SETTING

The primary setter for this team is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="162943" first="Alyssa" last="Lewey"], a 6’ footer from Sheldon High School. She spent the high school season on the varsity team for the Fighting Irish. Lewey got to learn from one of the top setters from the class of 2023, [player_tooltip player_id="91310" first="Beaux" last="Bruegman"]. Lewey and Bruegman ran a 6-2 the majority of the season. This prepared her well for this club season and she is doing an exceptional job for this team. Given her athleticism, height, and natural talent, Lewey is one to watch in the upcoming seasons. Also on the roster as a setter are freshman Claire Crawford from Pleasant Hill High School and freshman [player_tooltip player_id="161886" first="Kathryn" last="Scholl"] from Sisters High School. Scholl, at 6’ feet, is also listed as an outside/right-side hitter.

FRONT ROW

With TEN athletes on the roster who are more than capable of putting the ball away on the attack, this team has so many options with top 2024 and 2025 talent. On the left side and typically playing six-rotations is high-flying sophomore Kirsten Pangburn from South Eugene High School and sister of senior setter on 18-1 [player_tooltip player_id="91290" first="Julia" last="Pangburn"]. Also on the outside is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="126234" first="Jordan" last="McKibben"], who also saw substantial playing time for Sheldon High School. The team also has freshman Alexa Henderson from Marist Catholic and Gracee Robertson from Thurston High School who are often seen in the lineup. Jillian McAplin from South Eugene High School and [player_tooltip player_id="161886" first="Kathryn" last="Scholl"] from Sisters High School are usually on the court as right-side attackers when Lewey is setting from the back row. In the middle, freshman [player_tooltip player_id="161950" first="Cheyenne" last="Green"] from Pleasant Hill High School, sophomore Sadie Scott from Churchill High School, and sophomore Abby Mucker from South Eugene High School.

BACK ROW

Returning as the team’s primary libero, after playing her freshman club season for Webfoot 16-1 last season as the libero is [player_tooltip player_id="126233" first="Ellie" last="Jung"]. A sophomore from South Eugene High School, she has been the starting libero for the Axes for two years running. Jung is a technically sound primary passer, with tons of control on serve receive. She is an impressive defender as well. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id="161921" first="Chiara" last="Gianforti"] from South Eugene High School (the only 2025 on the high school varsity roster), and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="162945" first="Raegyn" last="Miller"] from Sheldon High School, are listed as defensive specialists on the roster.
