CRU U18 Baden
The team from the club located in Yakima, in the Central Washington region, has finished 11th in the Matt Hartner Memorial Classic down in Oregon last month and has won four out of five matches in the Puget Sound Region Power League. Their win record for the season stands at 10-2 right now.
Players to Watch
Kennedy Webb – Outside Hitter – HS: West Valley – 2023
Kennedy Webb’s game has everything anyone would look for in an outside hitter. She’s excellent at the net and also very capable on the backcourt. Part of a family in which her mother and two sisters made it to the collegiate level in volleyball, she’ll certainly follow in their footsteps. Webb’s 6’1” frame and her physical power are game-changing material at the net, but she complements them with a well-developed game and is able to hit line and cross at ease. She’s also very solid at the backcourt, being an excellent passer and a reliable defender, and a very efficient blocker.
Taylor Kieser – Setter/Opposite – HS: Selah – 2023
A 5’11” lefty who can set or hit at the same high level from the right, Taylor Keiser is a central piece in CRU U18 Baden’s playing system. As a setter, she does a great job of being consistent with her locations while including all of her hitters in her game plan. When asked to hit, Kieser takes advantage of great length and heavy arm to score points, but is also intelligent and skilled enough to identify open spots and place the ball there. Also a good blocker, Kieser has tremendous upside with her versatility and well-developed game.
Zoey Crimin – Middle Blocker – HS: West Valley – 2022
CRU U18 Baden has a solid and noticeable presence at the net with Zoey Crimin. She stands at 6’3” and is extremely athletic, being able to match up physically with the best players in her position in the state. Crimin has good footwork, can hit a variety of different and has great timing on offense. She’ll hit straight down in an open net but is smart enough to aim the corners when a blocker stands in front of her. Her blocking game is also very interesting as she has good size and penetration and continues to improve on her reading of the game. She has committed to Eastern Washington.
