The event reunites some of the best club volleyball talent in the state of Washington and we’ll preview it by recommending five 17s teams to follow when matches start on Saturday.
SNVF 17 White
The team represents the Space Needle Volleyball Foundation from the Lynwood/Mukilteo region. 17 White have as their highlights of the season so far their fifth-place finishes at the Jingle Ball Battle and the MLK Winter Spike Invitational. They rank fourth in the Puget Sound Region according to AES with a 13-11 win record.
Players to Watch
Samara Chacko – Libero – HS: Holy Names Academy – 2023
A setter turned in libero, Samara Chacko has performed really well on the position. The 5’3” prospect always has a solid defensive game and is now able to use it to the greater benefit of her team as a full-time libero. Chacko has excellent technical skills and is also very quick on her movement. She can also help her team from the service line with her solid serving.
Teagan Kirk – Setter – HS: Inglemoor – 2023
An electric 5’5” setter, Teagan Kirk moves really well at the court. She has great hands and is excellent in turning less-than-ideal passes in hittable sets, especially at the pin. Kirk is very focused and determined and is one of the team leaders on the court. She also plays very good defense.
Lauren Dome – Outside Hitter – HS: Bishop Blanchet – 2023
Lauren Dome is another player who greatly contributes to SNVF 17 White’s volume on the court. A 5’7” outside hitter, she plays all six rotations and excels for her ball control and her ability to dig and pass balls. Dome plays a very intelligent game at the net and also helps the team score points.
