Between Saturday and Sunday, teams from three different divisions will be in action across the 26 courts split among nine different venues in the Evergreen State.
Some of the very best players in the entire state will compete this weekend and to help you know where to look at, we’ll highlight a few suggestions of players worth your attention in each position when the ball starts flying this weekend.
In our last preview article, please know some of the highest-rated liberos in the state.
Chloe Lewis – Seattle Jrs 18 – HS: Arlington – 2023
Chloe Lewis was in excellent form during the last high school season. The starting libero for Arlington, she ended the season with 258 digs, 482 passes and 43 aces and earned a Washington Coaches Association All-State team nomination as an honorable mention. The 5’5” Lewis is very dynamic on the backcourt and uses her excellent technique to make things happen for her teams.
Kelli Kaelin – PJVBC 17 National – HS: White River – 2023
Kelli Kaelin is another player who entered this club season in great form after an outstanding high school campaign. The 5’5” Kaelin starred for her White River team with 669 digs, 531 passes and 33 aces. Her solid and reliable game has been a tremendous asset for Puyallup Juniors 17 National and she’s a player that can make a difference for her team in matches.
Samantha Barajas – PJVBC 16 National – HS: Emerald Ridge – 2024
A diminutive, but very dynamic and highly efficient defensive player, 5’1” Samantha Barajas has been one of the reasons of PJVBC 16 National’s solid season so far. Barajas has established herself as a cornerstone for the team with her excellent defensive and passing skills.
