The event will offer a precious opportunity for club teams from around the Evergreen State to qualify for this year’s USAV Girls 18s Junior National Championship, which will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, from April 22-24.
We’ve already highlighted some of the teams that will be competing for the bid this weekend in previous articles in the current club season, so we’ll take the days leading up to the event to feature some others who also deserve our love.
SIVBC 18 Heat
The team from the Sudden Impact Volleyball Club out of Bellevue has already competed in a few tournaments this season, having done particularly well at the President’s Challenge in February. 18 Heat currently holds a 15-10 win record for the 2022 season.

Players to Watch
Lily Remington – Outside Hitter – HS: Mercer Island – 2022
A six-foot outside hitter who gets the job done at both the club and high school levels, Lily Remington is as explosive as it gets at the pin. Remington can from the right just as efficiently and her length makes of her a threat even when she’s at the backcourt. She has a good variation of her hits and her outstanding reach allows her to find angles not many others would. Remington produced 90 kills and 45 digs in the last high school season with Mercer Island.
Dylan Turner – Outside Hitter – HS: West Seattle – 2022
Having size and length at the pin is definitely not a problem for SIVBC 18 Heat as diagonal to Remington plays Dylan Turner. A 6’2” pin hitter with just as much athleticism as her teammate, Turner is extremely technical and gets to score a lot of point with tips or just by placing the ball in very last inches of the court. Her wrist is unbelievable as she’s able to place the ball wherever she wants on offense or to tool the block with a quick move.
Gabrielle Lombard – Middle Blocker – HS: Mountlake Terrace – 2022
A towering 6’2” middle blocker, Gabrielle Lombard knows how to make her presence felt in the middle. Blocking is arguably the best part of her game, mostly because of her ability to read the game and quickly place her hands across the net to stop opposing hitters. She can also move well and does a great job in closing up the space next to the pin blocker. Lombard’s offense is very effective as, despite not having a lot of power on her right arm, she makes contact with the ball at a very high point and slaps it straight down on the opposing court.
