2024 Prospects To Watch At The Motor City Madness Showcase

<p>The Motor City Madness Showcase will have a mix of Ohio prospects competing alongside college hopefuls from Michigan.</p> <p>During Friday’s event, the Class of 2024 is going to be heavily represented. Dozens of talent will be putting their talents on display.</p> <p>Here’s a look at some of the names that will be on hand and what scouts could be looking for.</p> [caption id="attachment_170095" align="alignright" width="191"]<img class="wp-image-170095" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2021/12/28-Sophie-Crawford-278x300.jpg" alt="" width="191" height="206" /> [player_tooltip player_id="172199" first="Sophie" last="Crawford"][/caption] <p><strong>S [player_tooltip player_id="172199" first="Sophie" last="Crawford"], Gull Lake/Dead Frog: </strong>Crawford already has the experience of running a varsity offense as a sophomore, and excelling at it. Where she can really turn heads is with a display of her all-around game including serving, blocking and digging.</p> <p><strong>S Avery Dubey, Alpena/Alpena Chaos: </strong>Dubey proved to be a dynamic player during the prep season, but now she’s going to get a lot more eyes on her this weekend. As long as she can keep up with the pacing, she should continue to perform at a high level.</p> <p><strong>S [player_tooltip player_id="172200" first="Julia" last="Gojcaj"], Stoney Creek/High Performance: </strong>Another young and promising setter, Gojcaj can show off her locations and tempo during the showcase. She’s already got a strong defensive foundation to work with.</p> <p><strong>S [player_tooltip player_id="110302" first="Adrienne" last="Greschaw"], North Branch/North Branch Volleyball Club: </strong>One of the true shining stars of this class, Greschaw plays with tremendous poise and leadership as a young talent. She’s got great coaching and precision setting.</p> <p><strong>OH [player_tooltip player_id="172197" first="Clara" last="Gyomory"], North Branch/NBVBC</strong>: Another young standout from North Branch, Gyomory finishes at a very high rate and is able to mix in a lot of different shots. Seeing an elevated defensive game could go a long way for her on Friday.</p> <p><strong>MH [player_tooltip player_id="110306" first="Phoebe" last="Humphrey"], Traverse City Central/NorthShore</strong>: Humphrey has the size and athleticism to succeed in the middle, but she’s got to show her competitive side against a lot more middles that will be of her caliber on Friday.</p> <p><strong>S Jacquelyn Scheiber, Riverview/Michigan Elite</strong>: As we are seeing, there is no shortage of good setters in this showcase. Scheiber can also standout with her skills as an outside.
