A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person. We have also been watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles in order to determine placement. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Jessica Jones Jessica Jones 6'2" | MB Wakeland Highschool | 2024 State #169 Nation TX [2024] 6-2 Middle (HS: Wakeland/Club: Frisco Flyers/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Jessica has been added the rankings and is listed as the 31st best overall prospect in the 2024 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays at Wakeland High School and also club for the Frisco Flyers program out of the North Texas Region. We profiled her last month when we wrote an article on her club team and here is what we stated about her, “This young lady has been gathering major interest from college coaches according to my sources. She is a lengthy middle who excels at the net. Miss Jones can easily play at the next level in the middle or the right side. Jess plays well above the net as she is part of the famed ten foot club meaning she can approach touch ten feet high. When I watched her play in Orlando, I loved how she is able to hit around a block in the middle. She hit both cut and cut-back shots with great power to score. Her fast arm is something a lot of people see at first glance, but her foot-speed is what catches my attention. She plays fast while blocking pin to pin and it is a huge reason why she has her team competing at a high level.” We will be covering Jess at nationals this summer and can’t wait to write another article on her and her fantastic squad as they have a chance to do very well. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the top players in the state of Texas.
Loren Ashlinn Winn Loren Ashlinn Winn 6'2" | RS Dallas Ursuline | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-2 Right Side (HS: Ursuline Academy/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Loren has been added the rankings and is listed as the 57th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays for Ursuline Academy of Dallas High School and also for the Texas Advantage Volleyball club program. She is a lengthy and strong weapon that excels on the blocking end for every team she plays for. Loren is a for sure shut down Opposite. I love how she lines up perfectly with the attackers hitting arm and jumps after they jump to maximize her press. She times every block perfectly to seal the net from the would be attacker. Offensively she is a great scoring option for any team at the next level. She is a great addition to the State Rankings and we ask that you help us welcome her with open arms.
Thea Carter Thea Carter 6'3" | MB Alamo Heights | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-2 Middle (HS: Alamo Heights/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Thea has been added the rankings and is listed as the 68th best overall prospect in the 2024 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays for Alamo Heights High School and also for the Alamo club program. She has been on my watch list for some time now. I have watched her very closely in action against some serious competition this club season and this kid has stepped up every single time in the middle position. She plays very well above the net both offensively and defensively. She has had a very strong net presence in every match I have personally watched. The average volleyball spectator will see her power on the quick attack in front of the setter, but what I see is how well she times the pass from the back row on when to leave from her touch point in order to have the perfect momentum on her approach. She is the real deal and should be given a look or two at nationals in Indy this summer. I will be there in person watching for sure. Please congratulate her on being named one of the top players in the state of Texas.
