<p>We know Emerald City Classic was almost two months ago but better late than never, right? It did not seem right to miss out on spotlighting spectacular athletes that had a stellar showing at the tournament just because the tournament was a little bit ago. With over 200 athletes in the 16 Open division, we have narrowed it down to 25 ALL-STARS. These 25 athletes proved themselves invaluable to their teams success over the three-day tournament. </p>

<p><strong><em>Mania Alefaio </em></strong>l NPJ Seattle 16 National l 2025 l 5'2” l DS l Mount Rainier High School </p>

<p>Alefaio was the sole libero for the NPJ 16-1 Seattle team. An absolute athlete, she excels on the defensive end. Incredibly dynamic, she reads the attack well and puts herself in a good position to dig the ball. Her serve receive is controlled and she leads the back row with confidence.</p>

<p><strong><em>Sofia Brockmeyer </em></strong>l WVBA 16 Adidas l 2024 l 5'6” l DS l Meadowdale High School </p>

<p>Brockmeyer was the primary libero for the WVBA 16-1 team. Her play was essential in the team's success, proving a constant and confident force across the back row. She brings relentless defensive pursuit. From the service line, she brings a deadly float serve that flies at opponents with insane velocity. </p>

<p>Chan shouldered the brunt of the back row burden as Athena 16-1's primary libero. Her play was critical in the team reaching and winning the 16 Open championships at ECC. She showcases a relentless pursuit on the court, never letting a ball drop without effort. Her service receives passes are consistent and controlled.</p>

<p>Jung sported the libero jersey for the OJVA 15-1 team at ECC. Her back-row plays comes off smooth and effortless. She reads the attack well to get herself into a good position to dig the ball. She communicates on the court well, showcasing good leadership. </p>

<p>Takayama was the primary libero for the Athena 16-2 team, having bounced back from a concussion earlier on in the season. With an infectious court presence, she is looked to to lead the backrow. She brings steady serve receive and lights-out defense, keeping the unthinkable alive.</p>
