As we roll into the senior prep season for a talented Class of 2023, our player rankings were updated earlier this week.

Along with looking at the stock-risers and the new additions, now we will take a deeper dive into each position's rankings.

We start with an impressive group of outside hitters, many of whom will make a big impact at the college level.

1. [player_tooltip player_id='66319' first='Harper' last='Murray'], Skyline/Legacy

What's left to say about Murray? She could go down as one of Michigan's all-time best, if not THE best. She's already ranked No. 1 overall nationally by Prep Dig and has a bright future ahead at Nebraska next fall.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='66309' first='Nina' last='Horning'], Lake Orion/Legacy

Horning looks more and more like a dominant college player. The future Cincinnati Bearcat is working hard on her defensive game to go with an already imposing offensive game. Her power and athleticism at 6'4” is hard to match.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='66314' first='Kennedy' last='Louisell'], Forest Hills Northern/Legacy

Louisell has been the fast mover up this last over the last year. She's proven to be an explosive and athletic six-rotation player. Colleges should be moving quickly to scoop her up.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='66330' first='Ella' last='Schomer'], Marian/Legacy

It's likely to be a big prep season for the Wofford commit. She's the veteran hitter for Marian this fall and nobody can question her intensity on the floor. Schomer is a gamer in every sense of the word.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='108759' first='Raegan' last='Lantz'], West Ottawa/MVA

One of the next great Michigan players to head to Miami (Ohio), Lantz has been one of the best in a crowded talent pool in the Grand Rapids area. Long and athletic, Lantz can make all the plays.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='66316' first='Remi' last='Madison'], Grand Blanc/Michigan Elite

Madison has been a very reliable six-rotation outside for Grand Blanc for years. Her athleticism and explosiveness will be a great asset at the next level. She's still got a high ceiling as well.

7. [player_tooltip player_id='66303' first='Paige' last='Giehtbrock'], Clarkston/L2

An ever-improving player, Giehtbrock is adding a little more intensity and finishing ability to her game. She's got all the tools to be a great player for Rider starting next fall.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='66299' first='Sarah' last='Dunn'], Forest Hills Central/FaR Out

Dunn is another standout from the West side of the state. She's quick to react to the ball and has excellent footwork. Her resilient play is what college coaches should be looking for.

9. [player_tooltip player_id='108716' first='Emily' last='May'], Coopersville/Inside Out

Another talented and long hitter from Coopersville, May can really dial up the heat on her attacks. A future Ferris State Bulldog, May continues to push herself to elevate her game.

10. [player_tooltip player_id='66292' first='Rebecca' last='Apsey'], Groves

Apsey is a player that has been willing the shoulder the load for Groves, but makes a lot of tough plays look easy. She's improved defensively while still delivering one of the most powerful attacks in the state.
