Volume 2 is full of surprises as a lot of underclassmen are performing well for their respective teams. These freshman and sophomore classes are no joke when it comes to talent, and a lot of high school coaches are throwing them right in to make big plays and fill huge roles for their team. There are a few juniors and seniors we will mention who are commanding their positions as well. Check out our list below.

[player_tooltip player_id='318129' first='Blair' last='Thiebaud'] - College Station

Starting us off in volume 2 is freshman setter, Blair. She is an absolute stud of a setter, playing lights out for College Station over the weekend, propelling them one game away from the championship bracket. College Station's future is bright with her talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='318128' first='Halle' last='Thompson'] - Grand Oaks

[player_tooltip player_id='318128' first='Halle' last='Thompson'] has been thrown into a 6 rotation outside position and is handling it well. What stood out to me is her aggressive serve, prompting several aces. She seems a little timid on offense still, but make no mistake, she is capable of big swings.

[player_tooltip player_id='194131' first='Leah' last='Rios'] - Langham Creek

Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='194131' first='Leah' last='Rios'] has really stepped into her role so far this year and has improved so much. She is a hustler on defense and really makes you work to score on her.

Ava Ash - Colleyville Heritage

Ava Ash had a great championship game for Colleyville Heritage over the weekend. She passed some really difficult balls out of left back and was phenomenal on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='751906' first='McKenzie' last='Berg'] - Midlothian

Kenzie Berg was unstoppable on the right side block over the weekend for Midlothian. She had several monster blocks during the championship game. If you have not seen her block, you need to check it out, because she is fully pressed every time. If you are the opposing hitter, watch out for Kenzie Berg.

[player_tooltip player_id='155129' first='Bianca' last='Byerly'] - Cy-Fair

[player_tooltip player_id='155129' first='Bianca' last='Byerly'] stood out for Cy-Fair for her ability to play whatever position her team needed. She is a young setter/defensive specialist with a will to play and be competitive. She will dive all over the floor, and make defensive plays for her team, and she will also step in and set, and doesn't shy away from the tough pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='180155' first='Gracie' last='Lee'] - Red Oak

[player_tooltip player_id='180155' first='Gracie' last='Lee'] is an incredible middle, who just recently committed to Texas Southern. She hits a very good slide and has a great whip of an arm swing. She can hit at any position and any tempo and put the ball away.

[player_tooltip player_id='122888' first='Ariana' last='Brown'] - Conroe

[player_tooltip player_id='122888' first='Ariana' last='Brown'] is already having a great senior year at Conroe. The recent ULM commit already has 132 kills in 11 games. She is on track to help Conroe with its most successful season yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='197082' first='Jaylin' last='Lott'] - SA Clark

[player_tooltip player_id='197082' first='Jaylin' last='Lott'] is a part of a group of really great liberos out of the San Antonio area. She has grit, speed, and footwork, all the key components. She is a stud in serve receive and really works her angles for the best pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='179873' first='Carrington' last='Cook'] - Ridge Point

[player_tooltip player_id='179873' first='Carrington' last='Cook'] stood out for her pin-hitting and blocking over the weekend. She was huge on the block, coming up big when it mattered, and a beast on the pin, powering through opposing blocks.
