Top Performers
Cinco Ranch’s star outside hitter had a great all-around performance, impacting the match in several different ways. She was an offensive force at the net and in the backcourt, was solid with her passing, got several balls up on defense and caused trouble every time she fired her topspin jump serve, producing aces in every set. Her shot selection was outstanding all night and her attitude encouraged her teammates.
Courtney’s younger sister Kassidy also played an excellent match against George Ranch. She was impeccable in terms of making the right choices with her ball distribution, moved her hitters well, fed her middles effectively and did a very good job when the pass was off the net. Kassidy also made good plays on defense and used her big block to slow down George Ranch’s offense, most notably on set four, when she stuffed Sydney Bryant Sydney Bryant 6’3″ | OH George Ranch | 2025 State #26 Nation TX in consecutive plays. She scored on a clutch setter dump at the end of set one.
It took a little while for Loo to get her game going, but from set two on she was back to her usual self, offering an important secondary scoring outlet for Cinco Ranch. She stabilized her passing, limited her offensive errors and made good plays on both sides of the ball. Loo was on fire at the end of set three with back-to-back aces and an impressive dig that generated the winning point.
Bryant had a difficult start to the match as although Cinco Ranch’s block couldn’t stop her, her swings were going straight into their defenders. She found her rhythm on set two, tooling the block more often and targeting the end line, and was fantastic scoring George Ranch’s last four points in that set. Bryant also had good moments passing and playing defense, showing improvement in these areas. She ended the match with 15 kills, 12 passes and seven digs.

Her play dropped a bit from set three on, but she still managed to produce nine kills, two blocks, seven passes and three digs in her first playoff match.
