Here are the four Saturday matchups:
Division 3A
Gunter vs. Bushland – 11 AM
The Gunter Lady Tigers will have the opportunity of getting revenge on Bushland, who defeated them in last year’s State Tournament Championship Match. To make it to the back-to-back final, they topped Columbus in their three-set semifinal matchup. Senior outside hitter Rayanna Mauldin, who tallied 11 kills, 12 digs and two blocks, and senior middle Hanna Rubis, who produced ten kills, four digs, two blocks and two aces, had excellent performances in the match.
The Bushland Lady Falcons are just one win away from their third-straight state title after they eliminated East Bernard in the State Semifinals with a 3-1 win on Wednesday. Senior outside hitter Kaela Neie (16 kills, eight digs, four blocks, two aces), senior middle Madyson Eberly (nine kills, five aces and four blocks) and senior setter Logan Culpepper (29 assists, six digs, three kills, two blocks, one ace) all brought their best games to the semifinals.
