She showed off her versatility by ranking second on EBF with 60 blocks. She added 76 kills and 32 service aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='215426' first='Molly' last='Shafer'], OH/S, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont -</strong> Kate's twin sister ranked fourth in Class 2A with 545 kills during her sophomore season, hitting an impressive .387. She also led the Rockets with 286 digs, adding 38 blocks and 38 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='204533' first='Kamryn' last='Scheib'], OH, Ankeny - </strong>Hailing from a perennial power at Ankeny, Scheib will be counted on for [program_tooltip program_id='428936' first='Club' last='Ignit Select'] and for the Hawks in '23. A lot of potential here with a club season breakout a strong possibility. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='217124' first='Anna' last='Weathers'], OH, Ankeny Christian - </strong>The sophomore played a leading role in the Eagles' journey to a state championship last month. She ranked second on the squad with 219 kills and 27.0 blocks. She added 96 digs and 49 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='215425' first='Jaeden' last='Pratt'], OH/MB, Ankeny Centennial - </strong>Pratt already ranks as one of the top players in the state as a sophomore. Her 216 kills rated second for the Jaguars, hitting a solid .349. She led her team with 97.0 blocks to go with 90 digs and 30 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='215422' first='Amaiya' last='Thompson'], MB, Dowling Catholic - </strong>The daughter for former University of Iowa basketball player Rod Thompson, [player_tooltip player_id='215422' first='Amaiya' last='Thompson'] comes from good bloodlines. She contributed to the Maroons' state tournament run with 25 kills, 50.0 blocks and 12 digs as a sophomore. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389933' first='Ellie' last='Muller'], MB, Dowling Catholic - </strong>One of the top freshmen in the state this past season, Muller has a bright future. She paced the Maroons in blocks (117.0) and ranked fourth on the team with 165 kills in '22. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='261062' first='Dani' last='Schnicker'], DS, West Des Moines Valley - </strong>Schnicker ranked second in digs (279) for a Tiger team that reached the state tournament.
