Many players stood out to our court coaches and scouts throughout the entire showcase for a variety of reasons. Some players stood out for their dynamic physical skills and some stood out for intangibles like leadership, effort and attitude. Let’s meet a few of the players who earned the moniker of Top Performer at the Dallas Expo.
Kareena “Coco” Natarajan Kareena “Coco” Natarajan 6'0" | S Lovejoy | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-11 Setter (HS: Lovejoy/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Coco is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays for Lovejoy High School and also plays club for the Drive Nation program. This young lady stole the show according to multiple court coaches on Saturday. The lefty setter was phenomenal against much older competition all day long. She dazzled in the setter positional drills and transferred that talent straight to the scrimmage drills really easily. I loved watching her connect with the middles so well which is the sign that she is sprinting towards the state rankings list. Her length and natural athleticism in the setting position will make any college recruiter drool, but when you get to know just how calm, cool, and collected she is on the court, you will fall in love with her. If you did not know her name by now, you will soon. Stay tuned for more as we will be following her very closely.
Emerson Traylor [2025] 5-8 Setter/Right Side (HS: Bryant/Club: 501 Volley/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Emerson is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but that is only because we have not ranked her state yet. She plays at Bryant High School and also at the 501 Volley club out of Arkansas. Some players were just born to play the game and this is exactly what I see when I watch Miss Traylor on the court. She has all of the skills you want in a 5-1 setter and can play defense like a libero. I love how fast she is on the court with amazing footwork while tracking down defensive balls that are dug by her back row. You won’t find better hands on a setter than Emerson as the ball comes out of them so quickly and smoothly. There is not a set location along the net that she can’t hit the bulls eye with over and over again. She is able to disguise her back set really well, which will keep the blockers guessing and late to block. I was very intrigued to watch her compete with and against the top Texas talent and she more than held her own on the court throughout the showcase. Give her a look and you won’t be disappointed.
Jayla Jackson Jayla Jackson 5'9" | OH Prosper | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-8 Outside/Middle (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jayla is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She is a can’t miss attacker who plays at Prosper High School and also plays club for the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball program. Everything about this kiddo’s game screams “I got next!”. While she might be a little on the smaller side, don’t sleep on her because she will make you pay in a heartbeat. She has the vertical and power to score at will in bunches. I am not sure that there was a more dynamic attacker on her court other than her. She plays the game with no fear and so much heart. I am sure that if we had a radar gun measuring exit velocity of the ball after contact, she would have been one of the players at the top of that list. I have added her name to my players to know and you should also. She is everything you want in a point scorer.
There are many more amazing players that will be written about. Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.
