Gamechangers: 2025 Impressive Pins at the Top 250 Expo

With the Top 250 Expo in Indiana this weekend, it was plenty of talent all under the same roof.  I watched every court and picked some of my favorite 2025 pins, so let's discuss them here!

Bell is from Roncalli High School where she is an outside hitter. She was quite impressive on the court today. I must admit she did not get a shoutout on Twitter because I lost my note on her. My apologies! She makes it look easy when she is hitting. She hits across the court, down the line, and at opponents. She uses the block as a backboard to ricochet out of bounds earning points. She is very good and was a joy to watch.

Brookbank is an outside hitter from Perry Meridian High School and is a strong and targeting hitting force. What makes her a game-changer is that she can hit any ball for a kill. She is very resourceful and won't let any ball in the air go to waste in a scoring situation.

Christy is from Hamilton Southeastern and she is a great back-row player as well as a hitter. This is what sets her apart from other outsides. You could put this player anywhere on the court and have good outcomes and that is not an easy thing.

Durbin is an outside hitter from Western Boone High School. She is a game-changer for her speed on the court. From down to her knees to dig a ball up to being perfect at the net either hitting or blocking, she is very quick, athletic, and hard hitting. Even if the set she gets is not perfect she will make it work to her advantage.

Hines attends McCutcheon High School and at 6'1" is such a big block to hit around or over! She directs traffic from opponents because she is so effective at the net with the block and also has very well-placed attacks.

Isakson is from North Central High School and plays the right side. She is a very resourceful player and won't give up until she finds a way to get a kill. She is good on the right or on the outside and a threat anywhere near the net.

Lucas is from Northview High School and at the Expo, I noticed the unhappy looks on her opponent's faces when she was subbing onto the court. She is big, strong, and well-trained. Quite impressive to watch her play. She is scary good!

Minniear attends Frontier High School where she is a very solid OH, with very strong hits, and is amazing at cleaning up out-of-system balls on the court. She is a team player and can effectively set up other hitters when things go wrong. She is a teammate any coach would want.

Monahan attends The High School of St. Thomas More and really makes her opponents reach for a block to stop her from getting a kill. She loves to hit it off of defenders and has great aim and court vision. She is a player who really understands the angles of the game and successfully plays them.

Steers is a game-changer at Evansville Central High School and she is a very aggressive athlete, very scrappy, and not intimidated by anything. She has a great platform, a serious verticle, and great ball placement from either the front or back row.

Cripe is an outside hitter for South Newton High School and was very good in the Expo. She is another hitter working with bad sets or timing but making the successful hit look so easy. It does not come easy working with setters that a hitter might never have seen before, but she is flexible enough in her style of play that it did not seem to matter. She still had a successful day.

Davis is a right-side hitter from Triton High School. At 6'1" she is very impressive with her blocking and hitting. She had a great day of defense at the Expo.

Wilken is from Brebeuf Jesuit High School. She is an outside hitter with great court vision and game intelligence. I watched her place her kills just out of reach of every back-row opponent almost every time she took a shot. Very impressive hitter any team should want.
