Prep Dig Washington was on site to cover the action and will continue to do so all club season long. The Eugene three-day event is a great place to start the long road to June/July (July!?!?!) postseason tournaments for many teams in the Pacific Northwest. Typically many of the best teams from Oregon are on hand, and a solid bunch from Canada makes the trip as well. Washington was well-represented from the Eastside, Westside, and in between. Here are several breakdowns of impressive pin hitters we watched.
If the topic is power pins in the class of 2025, the NPJ Seattle National outside is one of the first and best to make an impression. Against a fellow NPJ squad from Salem, she showed off her defensive game on defense and serve receive from middle back, where she used her quick reactions and good hands to save points and set a second ball when she needed to. The hard angle hammer is what brought oohs and ahhs from the courtside crowd, and against a good blocking NPJ Salem team, she found points with a soft roll over the top. This power pin just keeps rolling!

Neubauer worked hard in serve receive to set up her team’s offense beautifully all tournament. The 2025 six-rotation outside helped make life easy for her Dakine 16 Surf setters and middles, and the tall. powerful combination of Grace Williams Grace Williams 6’3″ | MB Capital | 2025 State WA and Joelle “Ellie” Joffe Joelle “Ellie” Joffe 6’1″ | MB IMG Academy | 2025 FL went to work on defenses. Neubauer plays a complete game, working hard on defense, and ripping hard angle or pounding the ball off the block for impressive kills. She is starting to work the pipe coming out of the middle back position, and with her accuracy to the deep corners should become a back row force.

Adyson Lundstrom
Adyson Lundstrom
Lundstrom is a rangy right side who also sets for the Shockwave 16 team out of the Tri-Cities. She has a smooth transition as an attacker, moving quickly to make herself available in transition. She can power a ball through the seam in the block, and is available as an option to drop back and pass in serve receive. Lundstrom sees the game well, and is fluid in defending and picking up tips and roll shots form the opposing attackers. Her ability to adjust to the set and the location of her setter are a strength, she understands taking a smart swing that forces the other team to scramble.
Tatyana Jennings
Tatyana Jennings
Jennings is a powerful attacker with a high attack point who plays for a talented Renovators 16 Kari team out of Spokane. Facing a CPA team with several dynamic blockers of their own, Jennings punished the ball in transition from the right side. In a tight first set, she also moved to the outside and hammered a momentum changing kill down the line and on the next play found her fellow pin with a precision located set for an assist. RVC setters continued to find her for crucial swings late and Jennings helped bring home a 26-24 win.
Daniel is a 6’3 left hander who preps at Bellevue Christian, garnering 1st team all-league honors in the Nisqually league this past season. As a right side for the Sudden Impact 16 Thunder side, she consistently powered the ball over, through and around defenses all weekend. Her height and timing on the block gave opposing outsides a difficult time, she is fundamentally sound and very well coached. Her Thunder team will run her down the middle on combination plays when she isn’t tolling high hands from the right side. Daniel surprises middle blockers and defenses rolling straight down the pipe for explosive kills.
