There are plenty of high-level setters who will be competing this weekend at the Prep Dig Resolution held at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton. Coaches, if you’re looking for setters you will want to add these players to your list because they will be great pick-ups at the next level.
2023s
FC Elite has just a single 18’s squad playing at the Resolution this weekend. Bosetski is a natural leader for this group and can run a faster tempo offense. She has an athletic style of play and has a really athletic outside, Carizma Muth Carizma Muth 5’10” | OH Randolph | 2023 State WI to set up. It should be interesting to see what this group can do this weekend.
Balderson is used to running a 5-1 after a couple seasons leading Marshfield’s offense and taking them deep in post-season play this past fall. Now she will take on a busy club season with Wisconsin Ice 18 Prep as they gear up for the Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis in just over a week before taking on the JVA MKE Jamboree and Badger Region Qualifier in the Milwaukee area in February. Balderson is a gritty strategic player that would make a great addition to a college roster.
2024s
Van Lannen is the top available ’24 setting prospect in Wisconsin and she is leading a strong FC Elite 17 Navy Squad that returns quite a few from the 16 Navy group that made a big statement in Indianapolis last summer. Van Lannen is a total gem that can really do it all extremely effectively. She is a formidable block at the net, runs a proficient offense while not being afraid to call her own number. This team will be dangerous and going for another run to the main court in Chicago this summer.
Bruss has quick footwork, soft hands and the ability to move the ball quickly from pin to pin. She can jump set just about every type of tempo and has great court awareness. Bruss does a great job holding the middle and then gets a quick set out to give her attacker a one on one situation. The Sting 17 Gold crew will be a fun one to watch this season.
I saw Potter play a LOT last club season and was not surprised she absolutely ran the Resch center during the D2 State Championship in November. She is really athletic and knows how to make plays happen. I would expect to see her have yet another big showing especially when the pressure is on.
Fruzen keeps things simple with her style of play. She has great hands, quick release and knows how to find the hot hand. Last year I saw Fruzen connect well with middle, Lauren Fischer Lauren Fischer 6’1″ | MB St. Marys Catholic Neenah | 2024 State WI , and outside, Addison Albrecht Addison Albrecht 5’10” | OH Kaukauna | 2024 State WI and they will be back at it again this season. She is a solid defender and will be a key role player for FC Elite 17 White this season.

2025s
Reiter is a key piece to the Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold offense because she can get her hands on every 2nd ball and does a great job putting her attackers in position to score. She is fast and can scramble to keep the ball in play and get her team fired up. Watch out for Reiter and her team competing up in the 17/18s division.
Highlights
Tripp is a stud setter for Kaukauna out of the Fox Valley area. She is super athletic and physically strong in her style of the play whether she is playing the ball on or off the net. Tripp is not afraid to take an offensive attemp and she usually has impeccable timing and finds the open floor.

Marx simply does not quit or back down. She doesn’t know how and I LOVE that about her. Marx and Reiter are a combo that I’m looking forward to see because both are really high level setters with different strengths. They can both run the middles really well to feed the likes of Karli Molnau Karli Molnau 5’11” | MB Lake Country Lutheran | 2025 State WI and Gabriella Pitcel Gabriella Pitcel 6’1″ | MB Mukwonago | 2025 State #42 Nation WI . Marx is gritty, competitive and saves so many points as well as creates great scoring opportunites for her attackers in every stage of the game.
Highlights
Hernandez is an exciting player to watch. She is an aggressive defender and a big contributer to this FC Elite 16 Navy team. Hernandez does a really nice job of putting up a hittable ball for her extremely athletic attackers. She can pick up the tempo as needed and isn’t afraid to call her own number. She ran the offense for Green Bay Southwest this fall when they had a great season with wins they haven’t seen for a while. Lucky for them, she still has 2 more years with them!
