Ok, Kate…I see you! After having seen pieces of a couple of matches live at Triple Crown and watching some highlights I love Kate’s game. She is very poised in the back row and so so good in serve receive. She displays a great platform and is good in her anticipation of shots. She took on and delivered on some rockets sent her way.
In watching Kennedy’s highlights I would say her strength right now is her defense and blocking. She has great timing and uses her long arms to press strong over the net. She shows great promise offensively, primarily swinging in front of the setter. She did show the ability to cut her shots and find the open floor while also powering through the block. She also has good awareness on deciding to swing versus using a power throw.

One of the more promising opposites I’ve seen this year. She is powerful and takes a great angle to meet the ball. She has a nice high reach and gets on top of the ball. Her highlight shows she has many shots in her arsenal. Additionally, she looks just as good on the left pin. An added asset in her game is her blocking ability, which is also stellar.
Highlights
A very quick first step and her anticipation skills are elite. She has a legit quickness about herself as evidenced by her ability to get to many balls with ease. She is fearless, which is a great quality to hold as a libero. Also I want to add many of those tough balls she has to get to…she still gets the ball on point to her setter.

Madi Hughston
We had a chance to check out a new name in Madi Hughston of Show Me Jrs. A legit six rotation prospect who looks really comfortable and confident in the passing game. She has a good platform and also shines defensively by covering a lot of territory. Offensively, she takes strong swings and tools the blocks for a lot of kills.
I really like Audrey’s footwork when watching her in action on film. She is never in a rush and positions herself to make confident sets. She exhibits great decision making skills. Her pushes to the far pins look good and she does a good job of changing the pace with her middles, using quick zeros behind her. I must note, her back sets and slides looked pretty good too.
We could tell even from video Massey is laser focused defensively. She watches every ball from contact to location. She has really good lateral movement and gets herself in position to make plays. As an added bonus, she will occasionally let it rip from behind the 10 foot line.
Highlights
Fiery and aggressive…we like! She is really good in serve receive. When she rotates to the front row she is instant offense. She goes right at the block but can also work her way around it. She has a good mix of shots at this age and can hit a mean pipe.
Highlights
I love how Hope gets on top of the ball. She has a great reach and lets it rip. She has really improved on mixing up her shots, meaning knowing when to be aggressive versus pulling the string on a tip or roll. She can also hit the bic with confidence. She is really athletic and has some bounce.
Highlights
I love how she reads the attack and gets to the short balls with ease. She has good length, which helps her get under balls with one or two steps. She passes to spot at a high rate and has A1 court vision. She covers a lot of real estate in serve receive. And for good measure, her serve is wicked.
