They don’t call it Motor City Madness for nothing!
This weekend didn’t pull any punches when it came to the madness that occurred in the gym! Some of the top talent around Michigan and across the boarder were on tap for this weekend’s showcase. These players brought the heat!
Here are some of the showcase’s top setters!
Emma Keeping Emma Keeping 5'11" | S Imlay City | 2026 State MI – Imlay City/Michigan Elite
I would be keeping an eye on this setter for a long time if I was any college coach. Keeping’s stock has steadily been going up this club season and really making a case one of the top in her class. She sets total butter, can smash a ball and even plays some tough defense! A real do-it-all kind of athlete.
Korin Hutton Korin Hutton 5'7" | S Anchor Bay | 2025 State MI – Anchor Bay/Michigan Elite
She may be on the smaller side, but Hutton plays much bigger than what meets the eye. Hutton brings a lot of great intangibles to the court including some great vocal leadership and high energy!
Anna Rich Anna Rich 5'10" | S Troy | 2025 State MI – Troy/High Performance
This was the first I got to catch Anna Rich Anna Rich 5'10" | S Troy | 2025 State MI in action since playing for Michigan Elite a few months ago. Now at High Performance, I was really excited to see her back on the court. Rich brings a lot to the court including a deceptive lefty swing on two alongside a great touch when running the offense.
Samantha Roffi Samantha Roffi 5'6" | S Garden City | 2025 State MI – Garden City/Michigan Elite
Two things you should know about this player: she’s a hustler and she’s consistent. Roffi plays the game with a lot of brain and has a knack for knowing when and where to put the ball. She’s very smooth in her setting and plays some impeccable defense, too.
Lili Smith Lili Smith 5'11" | S Flushing | 2025 State MI – Flushing/Michigan Elite
Right alongside her club teammate, Roffi, Smith was another big standout from the Motor City Madness showcase. Like many others on this list, Smith has the ability to play just about any position on the court at a high level. Her setting was one of the strongest of the group’s and she brings a lot of heat as a right side attacker as well.
Caitlin O’Neill Caitlin O’Neill 5'10" | S Ann Arbor Skyline | 2024 State MI – Skyline/L2
It’s been since November since I have seen O’Neill in action when she was setting for Ann Arbor Skyline in the regional semifinals. Since then, her game has grown so much! O’Neill was looking much more consistent and a lot more in control of the flow of the game than I have seen her before.
Jadeyn Bisdorf – L’Anse Creuse/Crank It
Bisdorf can do some pretty neat things as a setter, but if her career were to go anywhere else, she would make an amazing libero! As one of the strongest defensive setters, I was impressed by her overall hustle and grit to keep a ball in play.
