The rankings and watch list will grow and shift with the more athletes we see. Their development, achievements, and ambitions will likely move them up in the rankings. Let’s take a look at the first top setters for Minnesota’s Class of 2026!
I recently got to see Repinski at the Prep Dig Battle at the Bay with Elevate 16 Black. She’s highly athletic and does a great job getting her feet to the ball. Repinski had a solid freshman year guiding Cotter’s offense. She is developing some real good location and tempo no matter where the pass takes her. Repinski has a solid game IQ and awareness of what is happening on both sides of the court.
Banks is very athletic and shows that with every contact on the ball. She is quick and has sound footwork which allow her to consistent location and a variety in tempo when needed. Banks is good on the move and fun to watch.
Keaveny gets the ball out of her hands quickly and challenges opposing blockers by moving the ball quickly from pin to pin. She does a nice job choosing when to sneak in a setter dump and has a great float serve that dips and dives on passers. Keaveny has a really nice clean finish with her sets and uses a variety of attackers.
Highlights
Swenson’s 6’3 frame benefits her and the impact she can have for her team. She has a heavy arm and wicked float serve. Swenson works hard to get her feet to the ball when taking the 2nd contact. She connects with her middles and runs a very fast tempo with them.
Christianson is a coach’s dream. An athletic setter with height! She puts up a suffocating block on the right pin to make outside hitters panic. As a setter she gets the ball out quick and clean to her attackers. Christianson can attack from anywhere on the net and is usually swinging over most blockers. She will be one to follow as she continues to develop and grow her game.
