Christianson has been a dominant and versatile player for Lakeville North since her eighth-grade year, contributing through positions like middle blocker before becoming the starting setter/right side and a team captain. In her freshman season in 2022, she was a starting middle hitter, leading the team with a .426 hitting percentage, 246 kills, and 44 blocks. This effort helped her squad to a 2nd-place finish in the AAAA MN State Tournament and earned her an All-Conference Award. In her sophomore season in 2023, she stood out by leading the Panthers with 249 kills, 49 service aces, and 485 assists, which earned her major accolades. Some of these included the Star Tribune All-Metro First Team selection, Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association All-State honors for Class AAAA, and being named a Pioneer Press East Metro Player of the Year Finalist. Christianson was also recognized in 2024 by being selected to the Star Tribune All-Minnesota Team and received an MNVBCA All-State Award.

Even when she is on the move, she makes heads-up plays that set her team up for success. Rayna is also nationally ranked and her control and leadership on the court proved exactly why.

Everytime I see Christianson she is leveling up her all around play. She is a 6’2 setter but she is a 6 rotation player any way you look at it. It will be interesting to see what colleges will be knocking on her door in less than a year. Christianson is already competing with some of the best in the nation.

Christianson has a really high ceiling and a lot of potential that I think she is still growing into. I love seeing a tall young player not shy away from setting and she’s really getting her footwork and body positioning to work for her. She can easily terminate from anywhere on the net. Christianson puts up a massive block and stays balanced to read from the back court on defense. She does a really nice job using the deep corners or working off the block. Christianson is a 6 rotation player that can make a big impact in multiple ways.
