With 3rd place finishes at both MEQ and Windy City bid events, this team is a double qualifier for the 15 Open division. They have a solid arsenal of talent on both sides of the ball that creates a good opportunity for them for a solid run at the national championships. Here are a handful of their prospects, some among the best in Ohio in the 2026 class:
Ella Grimes

At 5’10, Grimes has great length for the libero role as she takes advantage of her size to make a big impact. She has one of the most lethal jump serves that can ignite their defense by creating tough offensive opportunities for opponents. She plays defense with good range as she can cover a lot of the court through the first touch.

The 6’1 middle is the most electric prospect on this squad as she is athletic, fast-twitch, and can get off the floor well whele generating terrific arm speed in the air. A huge offensive threat in the middle and at the right pin, Northern finds a lot of advantage over most blocks given her athleticism and skill set. She has huge upside to her game.

The setter and floor leader for this group, Kirlin can distribute the full range of the court and gets her attackers good opportunities within their game plan. She has good movement in her footwork to pursue the second contact and if she can develop a quicker release at the top of her touch point, she will become that much more deceptive through both pins.
Sidney Sprada

When Sprada gets her feet to the ball on balance she has good contact point to be terminal for this team. She is 5’11 and can challenge the block high or hit over at the left pin while also ripping with good power and movement from the back row. She has six rotation skills and can make big plays defensively in the back row.

The 6’1 middle is a good option in the quick phase of this team’s offense as she has continues to improve her footwork and spacing in front of the setter to be able to swing with bigger range, a higher elbow, and with more pace. Once she develops her timing and contact point overhead, she will become a well-rounded middle threat offensively.
Sophie Davis

Davis, at 2025 prospect, contributes well on the right side of the floor for this group and at 5’11 she provides a good presence there on both sides of the ball. When she creates good momentum build and gets to the ball on balance she can produce a big contact with the ability to score. Defensively, she makes a good block move to be able to fill up space well in the air.
