Prep Dig has once again renewed our partnership with USA Volleyball to run the Pre-Tournament Showcase the day before the tourney starts. It will be held at the McCormick Place Convention Center where the tourney is being held. We are going to be previewing some of the players who have signed up to participate. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who you should be watching at the showcase.
Sadie Ross Sadie Ross 6'2" | OH Jesuit | 2026 State OR [2026] 6-2 Outside (HS: Jesuit/Club: Athena VBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Sadie is currently ranked as the 6th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Oregon State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Jesuit High School and also plays for Athena Volleyball Club. Miss Ross is a stellar pin attacker who is turning heads right now in the recruiting world. This two-sport stud also excels in track and field. Sadie is the real deal as she plays all around the court for six rotations and has ball control for days. Serving, serve receive and defense are all highlighted in her elite game. She has the size and frame that will get the attention of all recruiters across the nation, but she has the game to back all the hype up. Not only can she rip thunderous attacks all over the court, but she ahs the finesse game in her arsenal also. I love how she disguises her off-speed shots with hard driven approaches. At the last second she slows her arm down and tips or rolls the shot right over the block to score. This will keep the opposing team off-balance on defense with them not knowing what will come at them. I can’t wait to see her go up against some of the amazing players that are signed up in this showcase. Stay tuned.
Sawyer Arbuckle Sawyer Arbuckle 5'9" Cedar Hill | 2024 TX [2024] 5-10 Outside/Middle (HS: Cedar Hill/Club: Untouchables EPA/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Sawyer is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Cedar Hill High School and club for the Untouchables EPA program. Miss Arbuckle is very technically sound in the middle position and is able to play on the pins also. This versatility in her game is what I am intrigued to see in action at the showcase. She is very active along the net on the blocking side and what I truly love is how she repositions herself after the block to be ready for something else to come over. She has a motor that just doesn’t stop and that bodes well for her to be able to play at the next level. Her strong lower body and frame makes for a healthy attack that she possesses. Timing is her biggest weapon as she goes up against taller competition. Its like her hands have a magnet on them as she always finds a way to touch the ball and slow her opponent down. We will be watching her closely at the showcase and you should also.
Victoria Plumb Victoria Plumb 5'5" | DS/L Inglemoor | 2024 State WA [2024] 5-4 Libero (HS: Inglemoor/Club: Seattle Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Victoria is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Washington State Rankings, but is on our watch list now. She plays volleyball at Inglemoor High School and club for Seattle Juniors. Miss Plumb has some serious defensive skills that she showcases every time she steps on the court. I love how she is able to dig with her hands as this will extend her range. She is able to play both left and middle back for her team and this is key as it shows versatility. Always balanced while moving to the ball, her footwork is sound. Her platform is very quiet, meaning that she doesn’t move it a lot before, during or after contact and this tells you that she will be super consistent with her delivery of the ball. She is the type of libero that you can allow to take away two thirds of the court if need be and she will still cover the ground to track the ball. Her form and techniqueis very controlled and you can see that she has been trained very well. We are eager to see her in action in the showcase.
