Below are a handful of middles that caught our attention over the course of the first day.
Highlights
Danielson was a terminal middle for NPJ 15-1. She is a really vocal presence on the court. She made herself readily available to her setters which held the opposing block to create some one-on-one opportunities for the pins.

Linden is a very athletic middle blocker for the Puget Sound 17-1 team. Quick in transition, she is really involved in the offense. She runs the 3 very well and, given her physicality, can absolutely obliterate it.
Highlights
Flerchinger is an explosive middle blocker. She is really fun to watch, banging balls left and right. She establishes herself early as an offensive threat and continues to demand the ball. And, if she gets her hands on an overpass, it is going nowhere but to the ground.
Gutke made her prescience known early on and never stopped being a major offensive threat. She dutifully runs the slide and is able to move the ball around to attack a variety of angles. A more complex play; it is impressive to see it so well done at 15s.
Rose has an absolute cannon of an arm, and when she connects with the ball, it is deadly. She is quick and vocal in transition, making herself readily available to her setters. She had a lot of energy and made some big plays at big moments.
Highlights
Terry oozes athleticism on the court. Playing in the middle, she is bouncy and powerful. Watching her play last season at ECC, she has only become more skilled and terminal. She is definitely an athlete to keep your eyes on as she continues to progress.
Troche found tons of way to contribute to Athena 16-1. She was quick and vocal in transition, demanding the ball and holding the opposing block. She is terminal when running a slide, and runs it as much as possible. Troche is physical and athletic, putting up a strong block.
