Let’s get back to those top performers from the 15s crowd.
The dust has settled on Wave 2 of AAU Nationals, meaning we now have a full sample size of matches to watch from Nebraska’s 15U squad. More big-time performers have emerged since we wrote our early standouts on this group, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Pin hitters are in the spotlight for this one. Which outside attackers took full advantage of the AAU stage?
Haase has notched another breakthrough performance. What’s new? This outside hitter is progressively bringing bigger and better numbers to 15 Elite’s attack. Better yet, Haase has the skill and will to be an outstanding contributor in floor defense and serve receive. That’s everything you want from your left-side hitter
Highlights
This lefty pin hitter keeps delivering. VCN 15 Elite has seemingly found every possible way to get Behrns involved in the offense. She’s played on either pin and excelled in the backcourt. Behrns was especially impressive on the right side during AAUs, but don’t lock her down at that position just yet.
It’s hard not to notice Bartling’s influential role with Nebraska Elite 15 Phoenix. Her fluid approach on the outside allows her to swing at the peak of her jump, and big kills are sure to follow. Aside from these athletic displays, Bartling also brings the energy and leadership that 15 Phoenix often leans on in tight matches.

Burkey keeps making herself known among Nebraska’s up-and-coming 2026s. The Lincoln Christian prep athlete has evolved into a reliable terminator in the Nebraska Juniors gym. She’s not limited to one pin, either, as Burkey was equally dynamic on both sides during 15 Black’s AAU journey.
Violet Woehler

River City Jrs 15 Navy will bring a couple of pin hitters to this feature after an appearance in the final 15 Club bracket. Woehler has rocketed onto our radar during late-season action and capped it off with an impactful outing in Orlando. This natural opposite offers impressive length that benefits the team on offense and in the blocking phase. Expect Woehler to pop up on our 2026 watch list before long.
Garcia-Alvarez’s multi-position impact carries on. She has played middle blocker for River City Jrs 15 Navy, but she has recently shown her prowess on the right pin, too. That culminated in a wealth of highlight moments for Garcia-Alvarez at AAU Nationals, propelling 15 Navy to that excellent finish.
Brooke Goudie

Nebraska Juniors 15 Red keeps bringing emerging talent to the forefront. Goudie is representing Elmwood-Murdock on a 15 Red roster that is packed with small-town standouts just like her. That makes us even more excited for the fall season with many of 15 Red’s athletes prepared to make a big splash on the prep side. Goudie is surely one of those.
Versatility remains a major storyline for Barrett in the Nebraska Elite 15 Prime lineup. She looks equally comfortable on either pin, making her an ideal scoring outlet in a variety of situations. Barrett was particularly effective when 15 Prime was out of system, generating some clutch kills when the team needed it most.
Hope Preston
Hope Preston
Preston is one of several River City Jrs athletes we’ll inevitably add to the 2026 watch list. Her consistent presence at the opposite position provided a huge boost for 15 Red. Efficient, error-free volleyball is something that Preston clearly values and can bring to 15 Red at big venues like AAU Nationals.
If you’re looking for a constant source of energy for Nebraska Elite 15 Extreme, this is one to have circled. Kaup was a force on the right pin during her team’s run to a top-ten placing at AAU Nationals in the 15 Spirit division. Not only could Kaup put down her share of swings, but her brilliant blocking reads yielded several memorable moments throughout 15 Extreme’s stay in Orlando.
