Our Nebraska 2026 watch list update has put a huge emphasis on new additions, and that’s been evident through Part 1 and Part 2 of our post-release features. We’re still not done yet, however, and this third edition will put a bow on all the fresh faces to make our list.
Let’s do it.
Noerrlinger was bound to make our rankings after her recent performances with Nebraska ONE 15 Black. Her impact in the libero jersey was hard to miss, especially as 15 Black pushed through the Great Plains Bid Tournament en route to a 3-0 record. Nationals awaits!
Nebraska Juniors has given us a wide array of talented middle blockers lately, and you can add Parker to that ever-growing list. The Bellevue East has put her physicality on full display with 15 Black this year, helping set up what should be a fascinating high school season.
Let’s return to Nebraska Pride. Pelster is another surging libero that we need to keep an eye on in future seasons. She helped bolster a strong defensive unit for Gold 15s and is part of an impressive influx of talent representing Holdrege this fall.
The run of liberos continues with Pittenger joining the fray from Nebraska Juniors. 15 Black got plenty of highlight moments from Pittenger this year, and that will remain the case at Lincoln Christian. We clearly have some Star City talent to watch in the coming months.
Plas is the kind of outside hitter who can find an extra gear and take over a match. Her superior length was an important asset to Nebraska Juniors 15 Black’s offense this year, as Plas can work around or over some well-formed blocks. There was little doubt that Plas was going to end up on the 2026 watch list upon our latest update.
Reimers helps complete an impressive group of Lincoln Lutheran freshmen who appear on our 2026 watch list. And, like many of her Warrior counterparts, Reimers represents Nebraska ONE on the club side and has had a breakout 2023 campaign. A strong year in the middle has left an avenue for Reimers to become a major contributor to this fall’s pursuit of a repeat title.
River City Jrs 15 Navy has been the subject of many new additions to this watch list, so let’s bring on one more. Ryan has bolstered the team’s strong floor defense and will only keep progressing as she meshes with her team.
We’re back to the Club Legacy gym with another pin hitter worth following from 15 Alpha. Depth is certainly not a concern for this team, as Scheef helps load up the right pin and provide some clutch offense whenever needed. That was apparent during the team’s battles at the Great Plains Bid Tournament in late April.
Sliva’s emergence has helped demonstrate the depth that Premier 15 Silver boasts at its pin positions. It’s a good thing, too, because 15 Silver has a high demand for impactful outside attackers in its two-setter offense. Look for Sliva’s role to grow even more following a stock-rising season.
Sullivan’s addition to the watch list was overdue, particularly after her incredible weekend with South Central NE 15 Black at the Show Me Qualifier. This team leans on its physical, imposing middles to produce clutch sideouts. Those expanded responsibilities have allowed Sullivan to thrive as one of Nebraska’s best small-town middles in the Class of 2026.
Highlights
We have yet to mention Banzai VBC 15 Select’s lockdown libero, so it’s time to bring Torpy into the discussion. 15 Select has given Torpy some unique tasks this year, including defending the middle-back area as the libero. Torpy has adapted to whatever she’s asked to do, and that’s the sign of a steady libero who can lead this team into the future.
We’re finishing this feature with three liberos in a row, and these are some good ones. Tracy has helped pitch in with Club Legacy 15 Alpha this year and was especially strong in Zone 6 floor defense and serve receive.
You’ve seen this name before. Vallinch is carrying on some family excellence at the libero position, especially during some late-season action for Premier 15 Silver. This squad brings a lot of energy to the court in high-pressure situations, and Vallinch helps supply some of that hype in the backcourt. Get ready for another Vallinch to make a name for herself.
