Clubs continue to practice and grind in hopes to bring home a medal and recognition. Three top clubs came together to get reps in before the 4 days of straight volleyball play. Coast, A4 Volley, and Rancho Valley showed up at the Coast facility in San Diego, California, and played against each other. It was great competition for the girls to see what they will be up against next week. The desire to get better does not stop. Watching these teams work together to improve their game and knowing they are all going after the same goal is the unselfish way volleyball should be played. Utilizing talent and skills to help other players. Introducing the coaches and their players so if you are at Nationals, check them out.
Coast 17 Rafael is currently ranked 9th in the SCVA Power Division. Coached by Rafael Asvolinsque, Erin Vicente, and Dmitriy Yurchenko, the team representative is Ozhan Bahrambeygui, and manager Justin Conde these players are a solid, well-rounded team. Setters Avery Basinger and left-hander Gabriella Javier Gabriella Javier 5'8" | S La Jolla Country Day | 2024 State CA are leaders on the court. Playing back-row defense are liberos Matsa Shi and Samantha Kim. Protecting the middle are Isabella Barrios, Rafaela Alvizuri, and Angelina Allen. Bringing the boom are the pin hitters, both left-handed Samantha Grabb and Lily Stewart along with Katherine Wallbank, Keira Miles, Adina Dixon, and Saren Rogers. Coast 17 Rafael is ready to bring their “A” game to Chicago.
Coast 16 Luis is currently ranked 2nd in the SCVA Power Division. Coached by Luis Cuatok, Gabrielle Blossom, and Said Souikane, the team representative is Peter Ogle. These players play so well together. Setters Jolyna Salas and Alexis Richards will be leading their team. Playing back-row defense are liberos Miliani Villarreal Miliani Villarreal 5'8" | DS/L Vista Murrieta | 2024 State CA and Paulina Baillie. Protecting the middle are Kyra Miles and Savannah Simpson. Putting fire behind the ball are pin hitters Stella Dillon Stella Dillon 6'1" | RS Francis Parker | 2025 CA , Ava Poinsett Ava Poinsett 6'0" | OH Francis Parker | 2025 State #60 Nation CA , Jenny Li, Sara Dukes, Trinity Rye, Julia Marinesi Julia Marinesi 5'10" | OH Christian | 2025 State CA , Madyson McCarthy Madyson McCarthy 5'11" | OH Cathedral Catholic | 2026 State CA and Jocelyn Hammerstrand Jocelyn Hammerstrand 6'1" | RS Academy Of Our Lady Of Peace | 2025 State #118 Nation CA . A4- Cassie is currently ranked 9th in the SCVA Power Division. Coached by Cassie Strickland, Tyler Strickland, Tom Hoff, Randy Post, and Joaquin Acosta these girls play with determination and grit. Playing back-row defense are liberos Savannah Curtis Savannah Curtis 5'8" | DS/L Dana Hills | 2025 CA and Bella Lee along with defensive specialist Riley Genova. Protecting the middle are Reese Weinert, Mariana Alvarado-Rivera Mariana Alvarado-Rivera 6'0" | MB Portola | 2025 CA , and Kate McInnes. Rancho Valley 16 Premier is currently ranked 7th in the SCVA Power Division. Coached by Vu “Vinnie” Dinh, Samantha Middleborne, Danny Scott, and manager Mary Scott these girls hustle on the court. Setters Tobey Allen, Kayla Scott, and Teila Hill Teila Hill 5'5" | S Oak Hills | 2025 State CA will make plays happen. Playing back-row defense is libero Saniyah Sobers Saniyah Sobers 5'6" | DS/L Redlands | 2025 State CA . Protecting the middle are Allison Mason, Camryn Daniels, and Morgan Kinser.
