Our last edition of positional breakdowns for the class of '25 brings setters to the front of the class. Here are five of them, with schools, clubs (spring '23) and heights included.

[player_tooltip player_id='172310' first='Molly' last='Beatty'], 6-0, Herron, [program_tooltip program_id='431513' first='Munciana' last='Indy']

After a successful run at AAUs a couple of weeks ago, here's my take: can someone explain to me why Miss Beatty isn't on EVERYONE'S radar by now? She's fast, athletic, has high and soft hands, and already runs a faster-than-average offense. Defending her position isn't an issue because of her size, while being an offensive setter isn't an issue because of her aggression.

[player_tooltip player_id='173245' first='Isabelle' last='Brown'], 5-9, Avon, Circle City

A transfer from Danville, Miss Brown will go through walls to get the second ball. Hyper athletic and a full-go motor, she is relentless in pursuit, locates the ball well for all of her hitters and never takes a play off. I've personally reffed her multiple times, and the mood doesn't change---full-go, never-quit, 100% every point. No exceptions, no excuses.

[player_tooltip player_id='435484' first='Kyla' last='Coolman'], 5-10, Penn, NIVA

A transfer from Valparaiso, Kyla graced us at the Stock Up Showcase last week. We were the lucky ones on her arrival; she locates the ball well, has fast hands, is quick to get to every ball and connects quickly with her hitters. I'm looking forward to her high school season, where she plays in one of the tougher regions of the state to get out of the sectional.

[player_tooltip player_id='154812' first='Kaitlyn' last='Kuckkan'], 5-7, Central Catholic, Rev

From the Lafayette area, Kaitlyn is a state champ, an open-level setter, and is on pace to have 4000 assists in her high school career. Her bloodline tells me that it's only a matter of time before she's committed somewhere; her older sister is an outside at Valpo in the Missouri Valley Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id='172315' first='Reese' last='Edwards'], 5-6, Columbus North, Academy

The smallest on this list, Reese certainly doesn't play like it. Her ability to get to balls that others on this list can't is a testament to her speed. Her ability to get to tight passes is a testament to her jumping ability. She can be anything from a three-rotation setter at a larger school to a full 5-1 setter at a smaller school. I like her aggression, her ability to command an offense and her athleticism.
