Freshman Setters at the MO/KS Stock Up Showcase

They each have some great skills and abilities so let's talk about what makes them great.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='434374' first='Kya' last='Behr']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Behr is a 5'9" setter from Great Bend High School in Kansas. Behr has a great reach and can always get to the ball quickly. She moves the ball to her different hitters fairly and at good times. She is very aware of her and her opponent's court and smartly sets the appropriate hitter to accomplish her goals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sasha Cromer</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cromer is a 5'11" setter from Blue Valley West High School in Kansas. Cromer has a long reach and is good with blocking, as well as, setting. She has athletic quickness and can move the ball to her target in good time. She can do it all from set, hit, dig, block. She is a great athlete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Harriet Dean</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dean is a 5'7" setter from Jefferson West High School in Kansas. Dean is really fast on the court getting to the ball. She is good with out-of-system plays and can make something with nothing. She is a good communicator and you can hear her on the court telling the hitters on her team what to expect. She has good serves as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='403141' first='Sophia' last='Estes']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Estes is a 5'7" setter from Nixa High School in Missouri. Estes is really fast and smart on the court. She already knows where she wants to put the ball before she even touches it and she has already told the hitter she is setting that she is doing so and where it is coming to and how it is coming. She runs an offense well and can really see the court in a good way. She can dig, block, and serve as well. All-around kind of athlete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Clara Morgan</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morgan is a 5'5" setter from Shawnee Heights High School in Kansas. Morgan is good at getting to the ball and has great range when setting. She can move it perfectly across the court to her hitter and her sets have a good arch to them giving the hitter some room to get on top of it and really kill it. She seems to know how the hitters like to be set and could communicate with the many different athletes at the event with ease. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='445556' first='Tessa' last='Nover-Estes']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nover-Estes is a 5'11" setter from Free State High School in Kansas. Nover-Estes is an exciting athlete to watch. She is really fast and really has great reach which also gives her great range. She knows where all of her hitters are and has athletic acumen meaning she knows what is going on in her court as well as her opponents' court. She can block really well, dig, serve, and communicates too. Her offense looked natural with new athletes to her and that is due to her ability to communicate, to exude confidence, and to lead. She has several intangibles that are needed to be a great setter. She is mentally tough and kept the flow and stability on the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
