MB - Committed to Marquette

I have watched Schmidt progress as a lanky 15s player where you could see the start of something special. Seeing her from 15s to 16s, it was apparent she put in the work in the gym and also with her physical training where she transitioned into one of the elite middle blockers in the country, playing for Northern Lights 16-1 where they were a top 16s team all season. Her style will fit really well at Marquette as they have developed some extremely fast and dynamic middle blockers. Marquette is developing a strong pipeline out of the Twin Cities and is building some recruiting classes that are ranking among the top programs in the Midwest.

S/RS - Committed to Louisville

Louisville has a knack for finding the top talent that is always extremely well rounded. [player_tooltip player_id='288634' first='Hannah' last='Kenny'] was part of the 1st Alliance team that finished 2nd in 16 Open and was always a day three qualifier gold contender for a championship. Kenny's diverse skill set allows her to do anything from being a high level attacker on the right side and an elite setter with an incredible court sense. Playing for one of the top teams in the country prepared her to go to any program she wanted. She will make a great connection with another 2025 outside hitter in Chloe Meester out of Mount Vernon, Iowa who committed a few weeks ago to Louisville.

Vanderbilt Gets Two Top Outsides

Anders Nelson and his staff at Vanderbilt are wasting no time in getting some of the top players in the country. He got two top outsides in [player_tooltip player_id='153929' first='Maya' last='Witherspoon'] (Rockwood Thunder) and [player_tooltip player_id='179890' first='Taylor' last='Porter'] (Houston Skyline). Witherspoon has been up an age group for Rockwood Thunder where she hits a really heavy ball that is tough to keep in system for the other side of the net. She is explosive and extremely physical where she has demonstrated terminal scoring ability from the right side and outside. Porter is lightning in a bottle. She has been a key part for Houston Skyline the past two seasons where that group has always been a high open level contender. She explodes off the ground on her approach and can dominate with power or mix in some shots. Buy stock in Vandy volleyball now!

S - Committed to Oregon

Oregon started the summer off with an electric outside hitter in Logan Bell out of Indianapolis and they found the same version as a setter in [player_tooltip player_id='398692' first='Izzy' last='Mogridge'] out of the Tampa area. I have watched Mogridge the past two seasons for her OTVA team and she runs such a great tempo. Her skill set all starts from her feet where she can get to the ball efficiently and receives it high to find her attackers. Plus, shes a pure gamer, she gets it done, there's a grit to her style of play and she will find a way to win - very on brand for Oregon.

RS - Committed to NC State

The Wolfpack has had a big summer picking up two extremely physical pins in Rebecca Ring out of VC United and now [player_tooltip player_id='153933' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] from Rockwood Thunder. Smith played opposite of Witherspoon on the Rockwood Thunder 17s squad this past season. She brings a ton of pop with her swing and a lot of physicality at the net where she is looking to break a finger on the block. NC State is gaining plenty of recruiting momentum where they are looking to make a push into the next tier of the ACC. Smith and Ring are the right way to go when looking for the more powerful and physical athletes in this class.
