Schmidt is quick at the net and I love it when she does a quick push of the ball to the deep 1 corner. She puts up a huge block at the net that frustrates attackers. Schmidt tracks the ball really well and can make a crazy save out of the net.

Schmidt is so incredibly explosive and agile. She soars above the majority of blockers and can deliver some really powerful shots. Schmidt is a consistent presence of pressure at the net. Her smile and energy alone will make you see her love for the game.

So I got a lot of questions as to why Schmidt was at the Expo since she is already committed. The logical explanation that I came to was she is likely graduating early, not playing club, and heading to Marquette for the spring semester. Which means Schmidt likely hasn’t gotten to play much since her season wrapped up late October/early November. And what a great way to get some reps! She has always been a blast to watch and her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Schmidt moves along the net so well and hits with a heavy arm and I would be silly not to place her on the All Expo team.

Schmidt is not just a power house but she is quick laterally and Marquette got a real gem when they picked her up. I can’t wait to see what she does in the college game and I can’t believe she still has another year of high school. Schmidt is athletic, mature in her playing style, and she is a key to success as well as a go-to attacker on any team she plays on. She is lengthy and really takes up a ton of airspace at the net making her an intimidating blocker and a quick, consistent attacker.

Schmidt is another one of those truly positive, humble players that you hope your child strives to be. And what’s not to be positive about? She has height, power, and quick footwork. I was not surprised she was scooped up quickly by Ryan Theis and the Marquette Gold Eagles. Since her commitment she has been named to the 2023 AVCA Phenom Watch List and the MNVBCA Class AAA All-State team.

Schmidt is a player that is constantly improving and she plays with an incredibly high level group. There is no time that you will see her giving any less than 110%. With a 6’5 frame and lateral speed she is a dream. She recently made her commitment to play for Marquette and had a fantastic club season. The level of her game makes me really excited to see what Eagan ‘ last=”]’ last=”] will do this fall.

. Schmidt has been a little under the radar but has a consistent presence on Northern Lights top team. She was named to the 2023 JVA Watchlist and recently committed to Division 1 Marquette. Schmidt is an intimidating presence at the net both offensive and defensively. She runs a number of routes without hesitation and hs no problem executing the attack. Schmidt is quick laterally and fast in transition to be available to hit a number of different tempos.
