Here are the 2026 passers that caught our eye at the 2023 Oregon Stock Up Showcase.
Ginter showed serious defensive toughness at the showcase, digging balls left and right during hitting lines. She took some bullets from Sydney Dreves Sydney Dreves 5'11" | OH Columbia River | 2025 State #80 Nation WA like a champ. Her hustle and relentless pursuit was on full display. She exhibited confidence on serve receive and was a major factor in her team staying in system during the scrimmages.
Highlights
Johnson is as speedy as they come. She made defense look effortless, displaying a fearless approach and using quick reactions to her advantage during hitting lines. She was an anchor on serve receive, demonstrating a vocal court presence and exhibiting confidence when surrounded by unfamiliar athletes.
Pilgrim showed steady play as a defensive specialist at the showcase. She caught our eye early on given her smooth and relaxed play during the positional drills. She exhibited a quick defensive reaction time to keep the ball in play. Across the service line, she had a lethal jump float serve that proved tough to receive during the scrimmages..
Sanchez was an immediate difference-maker in the positional drills, and she kept thriving after that. Very quick, she moved well from side to side to cover the court thoroughly. Also, Sanchez created solid angles on serve-receive to keep the ball in system during the scrimmages. She did a good job keeping low to the ground which allowed her to dig up some very hard-hit balls.
Trees is an insanely speedy and athletic defensive specialist. She showcased serious hops during Queens, where she displayed no fear, swinging away at the ball. From the service line, she brings an aggressive jump float serve. Trees has the ability to make scramble plays routinely and provided precise passes to the setters.
Vargas-Renteria was an under-the-radar recruit who is sure to move up the ranks after her stellar showing at the showcase. She exhibited solid ball control and passing skills which allowed her to excel in the positional drills. She was unphased when she was asked to switch teams during the scrimmages and found a way to be an immediate impact. Vargas-Renteria exudes positivity and a go-get it attitude.
