No matter how hard we work to get a comprehensive look at every graduating class in our rankings, there are still more players to be added. That’s the crux of today’s feature. Since our last rankings update over the offseason, even more names have emerged as surefire additions to the Nebraska rankings. These potential additions span every class–even the savvy veterans in the Class of 2025.
So, we’re identifying some unranked players that need to garner more attention for our next update.
Emma Martins
Emma Martins
Small-town Nebraska is going to be well represented here. We still have a ton of hidden gems to plug into the 2025 rankings, and Martins is definitely one of those. The Gordon-Rushville outside hitter had a big sophomore year with nearly three kills per set and a wealth of other impressive stats. Martins has picked up right where she left off with an efficient start to 2023.
Lydia Robertson
Lydia Robertson
Robertson’s addition to the 2025 list feels overdue, especially with the way she’s started her tenure as an upperclassman. Her 2023 debut with Summerland was highlighted by 14 kills in a four-set contest to go along with a whopping 25 digs. That extraordinary double-double is the perfect motivator to bring Robertson into our rankings.
Here’s another outside hitter that should rise up the 2025 leaderboard. Brown started the 2023 season with a five-set battle in which she finished with 17 kills and 13 digs. Her steady uptick in hitting efficiency is a sign that this Wakefield attacker is ready to be in Nebraska’s small-town conversation.

Let’s get the middle blockers involved. Peterson’s athleticism has offered a huge early spark in the Deshler frontcourt. Her first match as a junior finished with a staggering 0.600 hitting efficiency on 13 kills in a three-set match. Peterson had already proven her potential with some breakout performances last year, but now she’s taken her game to another level.
Addison Maciejewski
Addison Maciejewski
Maciejewski appears ready to take the reins of Doniphan-Trumbull’s offense. The junior setter cruised to a double-double in her first match of 2023 with 32 assists and 15 digs. Earning playing time as a sophomore has clearly prepared Maciejewski to take a big leadership role as an upperclassman.

Katelynn Reiter Katelynn Reiter 5'6" | S Sumner-Eddyville-Miller | 2025 NE
Reiter’s unique role with Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will land her on the 2025 rankings before long. She’s a fascinating setter-hitter hybrid who can attack on either pin when she’s in the front row. That multi-dimensional niche has yielded impressive early-season stats in both attacks and assists for Reiter. There’s always something new to see when this 2025 athlete takes the floor.
Elgin/Pope John is bringing plenty of emerging stars into the spotlight. Furstenau is a new addition to our radar after putting on a digging clinic as a sophomore and bringing that same energy as an upperclassman. In a four-set match to open the 2023 season, Furstenau tallied 20 digs to lead the Elgin/Pope John defense. Expect more of the same in the many matches to come.
Emmalee Nicholson
Emmalee Nicholson
Keep an eye on Nicholson’s breakout potential for Paxton this fall. She tabbed 11 kills and 18 digs in her junior debut, putting her in a prominent position on Nebraska’s stat leaderboards after Week 1.
Bailee Fawver
Bailee Fawver
We’ll wrap up with another libero who’s gaining momentum after a strong 2022 season. Fawver paced the McCook defense last year, and she’s doing it again with a 21-dig performance in the season opener. The western half of Nebraska will be under more and more scrutiny as we look for the next stars to put on our list.
