Prep Season Preview: 5A Top Setters

Tryouts were the week of August 14th, and league play starts the week of September 4th.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As usual, Prep Dig will be following the action. For her play, she was awarded Northwest Oregon Honorable Mention. She is athletic and quick to get her hands on the ball. She is an exceptional defender from right back. She has fulfilled the role of six rotation setter and attacker brilliantly, receiving Mid-Willamette MVP, Mid-Willamette First Team All-League, and First Team All-State. Playing club for NPJ 18-1 Forefront, she was their primary setter and helped them succeed at the National level. Setting, she has a soft touch on the ball and hustles to get a touch on every ball. Across the front row, she is offensive and puts up a big block. Spending her club season training with OJVA 15-1, she dialed in on her setting technique, and her entire game improved tons. She earned Mid-Willamette First Team All-Leauge and 5A Second Team All-State for her standout play. Training with OJVA 16-1 last season, she juggled running a 6-2 or 5-1, depending on the team's needs. She showcases an incredibly high volleyball IQ and great court vision as a settter. She received Mid-Willamette Honorable Mention for her outstanding play. Coming into the club season, she was an under the radar recruit. However, she executed a 5-1 for G3 16-1 and led them t#7 finish in the Open Division.
