<p>The most exciting and unpredictable time of the Texas High School volleyball season has arrived as the University Interscholastic League (UIL) playoffs begin this week and, in just about three weeks, we'll have new state champions crowned.</p>

<p>Surviving the bi-district round is the first step for teams that dream about winning the state title in a few weeks and some exciting duels will take place over the next few days. Prep Dig will be around, covering as many matches as possible, but we'll also point out some duels that deserve some special attention. This is one of them:</p>

<p>The Dawson Eagles from Pearland get to the postseason as the best team in Division 6A - District 23 with 11 wins and one loss. They have 34 wins and nine wins for the season and among their triumphs is a sweep of Clear Falls in a non-district match back in August. Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='124109' first='Dominique' last='Phills'] has been Dawson's main offensive weapon this season, having contributed 411 kills. The Eagles are also very strong in the middle with junior [player_tooltip player_id='201144' first='Kennedy' last='Michelle Jones'] (232 kills, 68 blocks) and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='318191' first='Keaton' last='Points'] (158 kills, 83 blocks). The versatile senior setter/right side Addison Moss (635 assists, 241 kills, 279 digs) and dynamic sophomore libero [player_tooltip player_id='530380' first='Jenna' last='Thedford'] (383 digs, 568 passes, 43 aces) complete the core of the team.</p>

<p><strong>Clear Falls</strong></p>

<p>The Clear Falls Knights from League City made it to the playoffs as the fourth-best team in Division 6A - District 24 with a campaign of eight wins and four losses. The Knights have 19 wins and 22 losses during the entire season. Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='186765' first='Brianna' last='Dunn'] (524 assists, 211 kills, 322 digs, 38 aces) is a key play for Clear Falls with her ability to contribute in every area of the game. Senior outside hitter Keira Jones (256 kills, 309 digs, 499 passes) has also been huge for the team. Junior middle Kali Todman (166 kills, 105 blocks) and senior middle Averie Tracy (157 kills, 91 blocks) have been productive at the net while senior libero Capri Strombach (564 digs, 704 passes, 28 aces) makes an impact on the backcourt.</p>
