Sophia Bachman, Jr. S Buchanan
The Buchanan offense has a lot of firepower and its been a strong unit all season with Bachman doing a great job of putting it all together. In the team’s district final win over Bridgman, Bachman tallied 38 assists with three aces and two blocks.
Ava Barnes Ava Barnes 5'11" | S Brown City | 2025 State MI , Jr. S/RS Brown City
Brown City looks like a dangerous team as it has some good length up front, led by the setter/hitter combo, Ava Barnes Ava Barnes 5'11" | S Brown City | 2025 State MI . The junior played very effectively in a D3 district final sweep of Capac. She spread the ball out well and picked up four kills of her own while also being a dominant blocking force as well.
Chloe Basner, Jr. MH Millington
Millington got a sweep of Otisville Lakeville Memorial in the D3 district final. Basner was a big force at the net for the Cardinals. She had 13 kills offensively, while picking up multiple blocks on defense.
Grace Chisek, Sr. S Watervliet
Watervliet’s offense was really working like a well-oiled machine in its sweep of Bangor in a D3 district final. Chisek played her setter role well, feeding the hot hands and creating balance, with two players recording double-digit kills. She also had three aces from the service line.
Madeline Dettling Madeline Dettling 6'0" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI , So. OH SMCC
The Kestrels had an impressive opening to their postseason, sweeping Erie-Mason in a D3 district final. It was a solid show for the team overall, but Dettling had a 15-kill outing to lead the offensive charge.
Navea Gauthier Navea Gauthier 6'1" | OH Shelby | 2025 State #56 Nation MI , Jr. OH Shelby
It doesn’t get much bigger than what Gauthier did in a four-set win over Morley Stanwood in the D3 district final. She put down 50 kills over four sets of play while hitting .371. The 50 kills is a new MHSAA record for most kills in a four-set performance. It’s fourth all-time for most kills in any match. That performance put her over 1,000 kills on the season. Her 1,012 kills currently sits fourth in MHSAA history for most in a season.
Kacee Gray Kacee Gray 5'7" | OH Cass City | 2025 State MI , Jr. OH Cass City
Cass City has plenty of big hitting and it showed in the D3 district final over Unionville-Sebewaing. Gray was on another level in the win, as she picked up 21 kills in just three sets of work. USA just had no answer for her.
Reeghan Griffith, Sr. S Dansville
Dansville had to get past conference foe Laingsburg in the D3 district final and Griffith played a great match to get the Aggies a sweep. She connected well with her hitters, leading two to double-digit kills while picking up a pair of her own.
Brooke Hehl Brooke Hehl 5'8" | S Lutheran Northwest | 2025 State MI , Jr. S Lutheran Northwest
The Crusaders swept New Haven in their D3 district final and a lot of different arms got in on the act. A handful of players picked up at least five kills, as Hehl spread the ball out really well and even picked up a pair of kills and aces of her own.
