As the event quickly approaches, let’s take a look at some of the prospects who have already signed in and will be there showing their skills.
A versatile player, Hampton typically plays outside hitter during the high school season and moves to libero during club. She’s at her best in the backcourt, where she can use her excellent ball control to make plays and generate transition opportunities for her teams. Hampton is well-versed enough to defend both the middle and the left positions at the back and is also very effective when she peels at the pin and covers sharp angle. Her passing is also very consistent and reliable.
Highlights
A very physical player, Wilson can play anywhere across the net. She’s typically a high-scoring outside hitter with her high school team Round Rock Christian Academy, but switches to the middle during club and provides solid blocking and reliable offense to Texas Fury – I’ve also watched her play on the right and deliver. Although her physicality is the first thing to stand out, Wilson is also very technical, being capable of hitting inch-perfect shots and passing at a consistently high level.
Highlights
Roberson will come all the way from Louisiana to take part in our event and we’re excited to have her here. I first watched her back in March, at the Cross Court Classic, with her NOLA team and saw a right side with tons of potential. She’s tall, athletic and smart and has a powerful and skilled left hand that makes of her a very strong offensive player. Roberson also thrives with her blocking, making good reads and using her length to stop and alter shots.
