Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Raylee Schaffner [2024] 5-9 Outside (HS: Bridgeland/Club: TAV Houston /Verbal: University of Mary Hardin-Baylor)
Raylee is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Bridgeland High School and also for the Texas Advantage Volleyball Houston club. Miss Schaffner uses her arms very well during her up swing in order to take flight and get as high as possible on the left side pin. I love how she is able to adjust to an out of system play and come way inside if need be and still get an aggressive swing on the ball. When watching her compete you can see her making a solid hand contact on the ball and providing great snap on it to get some great top spin on it. She is a great all around volleyball player who will do great things at the next level. We are extremely proud to announce that she has decided to play volleyball at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Gillian Pitts Gillian Pitts 5'9" | DS/L Prestonwood Christian | 2025 State #92 Nation TX [2025] 5-9 Libero (HS: Prestonwood Christian/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: University of Houston)
Gillian is currently ranked as the 15th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Prestonwood Christian High School and club for the nationally recognized Texas Advantage Volleyball program. Miss Pitts is currently ranked as the second best libero in her grad class and also 80th nationally. Some were just born to pass a volleyball and that is exactly who Gillian is. The ball rebounds so smoothly off of her platform and hardly ever shanks. She has some of the best posture in the position and can be seen delivering perfect balls to her setter. Did I mention that she has been playing up an age group in the Open division for the past few years? Well that should tell you just how good she actually is in the position. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the University of Houston. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Brooklyn Vigil Brooklyn Vigil 5'6" | DS/L Harlan | 2025 State TX [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Harlan/Club: Alamo/Verbal: University of Louisiana)
Brooklyn is currently ranked as the 75th best overall prospect in the state according to the 2025 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She stars for Harlan High School and plays club for the Alamo volleyball program. Miss Vigil has been seen by our scouts dominate over the past few years many times. Her skill set has gotten better and better each year and that is a testament to her work ethic and being coachable. Defensively, she is a genius in the back row and rarely do balls hit the floor if they are anywhere near her zone. By using some amazing eye tracking, she is always putting herself in the perfect position to play the ball in serve receive and defense. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at the University of Louisiana. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
