Here are the 2025 setters that caught our eye at the 2023 Oregon Top 250 Expo.
The Catlin Gabel setter was steady on Sunday, and played solidly throughout all drills. With great hands, a quick release, and the ability to push the ball effortlessly, Cohrs made some great sets throughout both the positional drills and gameplay. Using her quick footwork and strong court sense, Cohrs showed her ability to get her hands on hard-to-get balls. And, not only is Cohrs an excellent setter, but she can also hit well.
Bringing high and supportive energy to the court on Sunday was Sorensen, a versatile and adaptable player with great hands and consistent sets. Sorensen was flexible with playing both defensive specialist and setter during gameplay, and she played both positions well – a testament to her all-around skill on the court. Sorensen made good first touches defensively, and she also showcased her super tough jump serve.

Winebarger, the setter for Crook County High School, showed off her great hands and consistent sets during the Top 250 Expo. Winebarger’s play was solid during the positional drills, but where she really shone was during gameplay. With confidence and strong court vision, Winebarger led her team well. Winebarger placed nearly every set perfectly, allowing her team during gameplay to run a quick offense. She was also impressive defensively, making great plays to keep the ball alive.
