it was a packed house in the UWM Sports Complex today!

Over 100+ athletes from all over the state of Michigan and the Northern Ohio area we're coming out to show off what they got. It was a showcase filled to the brim with talent.

Wowza was the place packed with some top notch pins. From both pins, the gym was oozing with talent that brought a lot of different attributes to the table. From high flyers, heavy bombers, steady all-around players, and more; it was all here. Let's take a look at some of the powerhouse pins from the Michigan Top 250.

[player_tooltip player_id='191143' first='Sidney' last='White'] - L2

This player is coming off of an impressive fall campaign. As a primary right side for Saline, [player_tooltip player_id='191143' first='Sidney' last='White'] was showing off her overall game at the Top 250. While, she is well known as a stout blocker and steady arm, we got to see a little more of White can do. Her defense and passing game was some of the best to find in the gym. I also loved seeing White's array of shots, hard-driven or off-speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='226906' first='Reagan' last='Lesley'] - Michigan Elite

This is a player that you could really plug in anywhere along the net. She was showing just how good she was all-around. Last club season, we saw [player_tooltip player_id='226906' first='Reagan' last='Lesley'] spend a lot of time in the middle despite being a natural pin. I hope people are ready for Lesley's coming out party on the pin this club season. She boasts a heavy arm and range of shots that keeps her a constant scoring piece.

[player_tooltip player_id='226911' first='Riley' last='Pilat'] - Michigan Elite

Similar to Lesley, we have only seen [player_tooltip player_id='226911' first='Riley' last='Pilat'] in the middle so far for both club and high school in 2023. But, be prepared, this player is ready to slot over to her natural position on the pins. With one of the best hand to ball contacts in the gym, Pilat can manipulate the ball to create some incredible angles on the ball. She does while putting some great pace behind it as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='442977' first='Demi' last='McCoy'] - Michigan Elite

Every time I see this young talent, I am left in awe of what I see. [player_tooltip player_id='442977' first='Demi' last='McCoy'] is going to be a serious talent within the next few years if not sooner. She oozes a raw, athletic presence on the court. Whether ripping a Sarah Franklin-esque 4 to 4 shot, or making a deep pursuit play in the back court. McCoy is a gamer and always a fun watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='261190' first='Makayla' last='Credit'] - L2

It was hard to decide where to put [player_tooltip player_id='261190' first='Makayla' last='Credit'] when doing positional breakdowns. This player is the ultimate utility player. While she's been a middle for most of her career, and played a significant time in the middle this weekend, Credit can do just about anything you ask her. Her hops and quick snap on top of the ball makes Credit so dangerous to compete against. She'll be making the jump to open level ball this club season with L2's 171. I can't wait to see what a Credi-[player_tooltip player_id='156298' first='Chloe' last='Giehtbrock'] connection looks like.

[player_tooltip player_id='454359' first='Elise' last='Biermann'] - Michigan Elite

This young pup is coming off of a really promising fall camp. From being the rookie pulled up to varsity to finding herself significant playing time, [player_tooltip player_id='454359' first='Elise' last='Biermann'] was showing just how she found herself on the court. This player showcases a very promising overall game. Steady passing and a real nice offensive range, Biermann is beginning to develop more pop and torque into her swings which makes her even more dangerous as an attacker.

[player_tooltip player_id='444584' first='Caylin' last='Lindsay'] - Michigan Elite

Speaking of young names to keep an eye on, [player_tooltip player_id='444584' first='Caylin' last='Lindsay'] and Biermann may be the next dynamic duo for Michigan Elite this club season. Lindsey is coming off of an incredible rookie season with Hartland. A mainstay within their offense as a freshman, Lindsey is very explosive. Whether making quick moves on defense or flying in for the kill, Lindsey is a real promising prospect in this 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='454363' first='Akylah' last='Marshall'] - Huron Valley

Continuing on with some more freshman phenoms, [player_tooltip player_id='454363' first='Akylah' last='Marshall'] is a name to keep a close watch for for years to come. As an attacker this player is very strong. When she can get on top of the ball and rip away, there's very little that can be done to stop her. Her back court play wasn't too shabby as well. I am excited to see her growth over the next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='489939' first='Vivian' last='Jones'] - Michigan Elite

We didn't get to see a lot of [player_tooltip player_id='489939' first='Vivian' last='Jones'] this fall for Brighton. But from what we saw at the showcase this weekend, Jones can be a real powerhouse. Not only is Jones an thunderous attacker, but she can bring that same heat just about anywhere along the net. She, too, will join alongside Lesley and Pilat with Michigan Elite's 16 Mizuno this coming club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='457339' first='Tia' last='Schultz'] - L2

After a really promising fall campaign, I fully expect this player to continue her growth throughout the club season. While only 6'0, [player_tooltip player_id='457339' first='Tia' last='Schultz'] has a real long arm span that she can use to her advantage to score a point. Left-hand dominant, Schultz looked quite comfortable swinging out of either pin. While the right pin screams for any lefty, I really liked her game out of the left as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='454368' first='Lexa' last='Pierson'] - L2

You do not want to mess with this freshman. There were many, many freshman sprinkled throughout this showcase, but none caught my eye as fast as [player_tooltip player_id='454368' first='Lexa' last='Pierson'] did. This player jumps out of the gym and can play like she's going on season 3 of high school. Pierson can get it done both at the net and through the back court, a very athletic and mature player.

[player_tooltip player_id='384508' first='Hanna' last='Pardon'] - [program_tooltip program_id='451950' first='High' last='Performance Volleyball Academy']

[player_tooltip player_id='384508' first='Hanna' last='Pardon'] is a returner from last year's Top 250. A highlight from last year, she continues to only get better. While Pardon is well known to be a heavy-bomber, she was showcasing a much more complete game at this year's showcase. Her back court play has seemed to step up a few notches and her shot selection at the net is improved as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='490048' first='Malea' last='Wourman'] - Huron Valley

This player is coming off of a really exciting high school season. After leading the way for Milan's first ever State Semi Final in Division II, [player_tooltip player_id='490048' first='Malea' last='Wourman'] is looking to capitalize off of her late-season success. A very offensive minded player, Wourman just wants to put the ball away at any means necessary. She brings a lot of passion and fire to any court she steps on.

[player_tooltip player_id='449093' first='Skyye' last='Frailey'] - L2

I had been hearing rumblings about this athlete all throughout the fall, but never got the chance to catch her in action. Upon first watch, this player is going to be great, because she is already really good. [player_tooltip player_id='449093' first='Skyye' last='Frailey'] definitely knows how to come in, make a quick impression and make it last. I loved seeing her overall game from her attacking to a real solid presence in the back row. Frailey will surely make huge strides this club season with L2's 161.

[player_tooltip player_id='357522' first='Bella' last='Colon'] - L2

I've been able to catch this player a few times throughout her career, but it's been awhile. Needless to say, not only am I impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='357522' first='Bella' last='Colon']'s growth, but I think she may be playing some of her best volleyball to date. Colon was finishing on balls a lot more efficiently and terminating. Her back court play is also so much improved.

[player_tooltip player_id='486266' first='Maggie' last='McKale'] - Huron Valley

[player_tooltip player_id='486266' first='Maggie' last='McKale'] is a new one on my radar. Never seeing this player before, I had to do a double take. Much like Schultz, this a nice, lengthy lefty that can do a lot of damage with her high reach and athletic abilities. She was making really nice plays all throughout the day, both offensively and at the net with her blocking.
