Class of ’25
Each of these attackers are used to shouldering the offensive load, and none had less than 500 kills during their respective high school seasons. Bryn VanVleet (’25, 5-10 MB/OH, Seton Catholic, Academy) was primarily attacking from the middle in high school, but can be a terminal pin attacker against higher level teams. A Second Team All-State honoree, her springy nature and strong volleyball IQ make her a prime example of what a go-to attacker looks like. Molly Welborn Molly Welborn 5'8" | OH Scecina | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-9 OH, Scecina, Academy) is yet another pin attacker playing for The Academy that can handle putting a ton of balls away. She fits the mold of what a primary passer can be, and plays bigger than her frame regularly. Keira Lucas Keira Lucas 5'10" | OH Northview | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-11 OH, Northview, Circle City) has earned her spot on the flagship team at Circle, as she can put balls away from either pin and can be a six-rotation passer to boot. Her Second Team honors from this past fall were well earned, as she carried Northview deep into October.
Class of ’26
It’s hard to believe that these three are sophomores in high school, because they certainly don’t play like sophomores. Elle Schara Elle Schara 5'11" | OH Crown Point | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-11 OH, Crown Point, Michio) is a big and physical outside that never needs to come out of the game. Her all-around game will take her far this spring. Ella Warrick Ella Warrick 5'9" | OH Linton-Stockton | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-8 OH, Linton-Stockton, Circle City) had over 500 kills on her arm this past fall, and has a real chance of passing 2k in kills for her high school career. She’s the quintessential gym rat, and is relentless in her nature both on and off the court. Her First Team All-State honors were well deserved. Bailey Sinish Bailey Sinish 5'11" | OH Carroll | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-11 OH, Carroll, Summit) might be the most complete athlete on this list. Nearly 500 kills for one of the top 4A schools in the state this past fall, Bailey is a three-sport stud that owns the high jump record for Carroll (5-8!).
Class of ’27
The two freshmen listed here are “all grown up” as far as I’m concerned. Shania Rhamy Shania Rhamy 5'8" | OH Southwood | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-8 OH, Southwood, Munciana) helped her fall squad to a state title this past fall. Her Munciana training will refine her ball control while increasing that already high volleyball IQ. Of the athletes on the 1A All State list, she’s the youngest, and has a high ceiling on both her high school and club careers. Luca Bombacino Luca Bombacino 6'0" | OH Chesterton | 2027 State IN (’27, 6-0 OH, Chesterton, Michio) has the best name ever for a volleyball player, but there’s more to her than that. As part of the ten-foot attack-touch club, Luca makes a lot of blocks look irrelevant and can put balls away from either pin. Her block is big and solid, and looks terminal right now in her attacks. I’m looking forward to seeing her play against better competition this coming spring, as she should really open some eyes on the club circuit.
