Hamilton was moving really well across the court and jumpsetting everything she could get her hands on. She was connecting well with hitters and running an effecient offense when we got to game play. Hamilton does not hesistate to step up and lead.
Hartwick is a lengthy lefty who does a nice job of going off the high hands of a block. She can really contribut from anywhere but she takes a huge swing and she is fundamentally sound. Hartwick had a chance to show her ability to pass to attack and terminate as well.
Medenblik has a huge vertical and fast lefty swing. She has a ton of length and explosive power in her jump. Medenblik is sound in all around skills and plays with a solid volleyball IQ. She could be a really great pick-up at the next level.
Highlights
Hurd was making some really quick reactions and big plays out of middle back. I like her style of play and ability to read the attack. She was very cognizant of her platform and the angle she was creating.
Novak takes a really nice swing on the ball. She is long and athletic and plays sound defense. Novak has an explosive approach that helped her put a ball away.
Otto is really fast off the floor and has a quick trigger on the attack. She is a well trained all around athlete that plays a very physical game. Otto has a high contact point, quick snap, and she swings right through the ball.
Larson gets the ball out to the pin hitters consistently so they always know what to expect. She could be a big impact player for her squad. Larson is a sound all-around player.
Highlights
Koenig gets her higs under the ball and does a great job controlling the dig. Koenig caught my eye on defense but her serve receive was also solid. She read the serve and made fast and efficient movements on the ball.
Mittelstadt does a nice job getting her hips under the ball and making solid digs off the net. She does a nice job extending her defensive range. Her ball control and defense are solid and she keeps her court in system.
Zentz made setting to the pins look easy. She knows how to feed her attackers with a quick tempo. Zentz is smooth and savvy on the court when it comes to how she directs her court.
