We’ve introduced our first group of stock risers from last weekend’s Nebraska Top 250 Expo. There’s still work to do after Part 1, so we’re back at it again.
Look out for this talented batch of athletes in the upcoming club season and beyond.
Kachaturian recently emerged on our Class of 2026 after her stellar work with Omaha Westview, a new school that is just starting its journey in the Nebraska prep landscape. This 2026 libero amassed 3.6 digs per set for the Wolverines this fall and has quickly emerged as a leader for the young squad. Kachaturian’s progression took another step forward as she competed alongside her Omaha-area peers at the Top 250 Expo. Nebraska Elite will be excited to have this defender on their side of the 2024 club season.
Macke is adding to our list of new discoveries from the Top 250 Expo. This under-the-radar libero produced plenty of highlight moments during six-on-six competition, and Macke’s ball control in positional drills was equally impressive. It’s no secret that Norris and Nebraska ONE have a rich history of producing quality liberos, and perhaps Macke can be the next line. The 2024 club season will tell us even more.
Here comes the Class of 2027. We’re slowly building our database for this young group, and Capece has already secured her spot on the watch list. She is a lockdown defender who has seen ample reps in both the middle-back and right-back areas. She helped her team to a GJNC appearance at the 14s level, and next spring will be Capece’s turn to enter the coverage spotlight with her 15s group. Premier Nebraska will find many different ways to use this talented defensive specialist next year.

Iowa gets a representative here! Casey crossed the river to La Vista after finishing her prep season at Tri-Center High School. She’ll still be in the spotlight here in Nebraska as a member of Nebraska Elite’s top 15s squad, where Casey can play just about any role imaginable. The Top 250 Expo entry list placed Casey as an outside hitter, but she can also pass and play defense like a libero. That should give Nebraska Elite plenty of options in the upcoming season, and we can’t wait to see how it plays out.

This isn’t our first shoutout to Ponca High School, so the future looks bright for the Indians. Pick approached two kills per set in her debut prep season and was an effective terminator in team drills. The 2027 outside hitter will hop over to MVP United for the 2024 club season, and we’ve previously discussed how strong this club has looked in some of the younger age groups. Pick ought to keep that momentum going.

Clarkson/Leigh will be seeking new leaders for next year’s squad, and Sortino might be able to fill some voids. The Patriots made history with an appearance in the Class C2 title match, setting the stage for more big-time players to contribute. Sortino offers the kind of six-rotation versatility that has made Clarkson/Leigh successful, so she’s a natural fit for the surging small-town program.
This has been the feature for players with a ton of all-around skills, so let’s wrap up with one more. Duncan is not afraid to get up with her five-foot-six frame and make some heavy swings on at the net, which is the mark of a confident player. But, like many of the 2027s at our showcase, Duncan also embraced contact as a backcourt defender and made some solid passes in serve receive. Duncan’s showcase participation also gives us a chance for a River City Jrs shoutout, and we’re already gearing up to cover this club in the many months to come.
