2026 Rankings: Five More New Additions

She has good tools that should land her among the upper echelon of Ohio setters in this class with our next rankings update. You can see her leading her club team with Mintonette as the floor distributor. At 6'0, she has potential to be another high quality setter with good length to come from this club. Over the recent high school season she earned a career best 265 kills for Newark Catholic.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='403541' first='Melody' last='Garrett']<br>The Mentor product and Greater Cleveland all-league selection made a big impact this past fall at 3.3 k/s. She has over 400 total kills in her first two varsity seasons with a career average of nearly nine digs per match. Mentor was 21-5 overall with a conference title earned along the way as Garrett was their offensive leader. She currently competes for [program_tooltip program_id='431573' first='RockCity' last=''] and is making a big impact as the lefty opposite elevates well and maximizes her extension and reach upon contact to challenge net defenders with good success.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='502118' first='Maya' last='Awad']<br>Awad had a solid sophomore campaign as a key offensive contributor for Olmsted Falls this past high school season. She was second on the team offensively at 2.6 k/s as the Bulldogs finished 18-6 overall. She was terrific on the defensive side with a team best 74 total blocks. Her movement between the pins is quick and she has the ability to get up fast when attacking and defending. Get a look at her this club season with Boss CLE.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='502120' first='Sydney' last='Starcher']<br>Starcher is a 6'0 middle that made a big impact for Warren this past fall. She has a long frame and can create good reach and contact point when attacking. She averaged 3.1 k/s as she terminated 230 kills at a 51% rate to help anchor Warren's offense among a trio of key threats. As she improves the fluidity of her movement patterns around her setter she has potential to be even more dangerous offensively. On the defensive side she averaged 6.3 blocks per contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='502143' first='Kendal' last='Dobbins']<br>A 5'11 outside hitter, Dobbins was second offensively for Steele at 2.1 k/s. She has a big approach pattern and uses her arm work well to help her create good lift. Her 181 total kills over the high school season more than doubled her output from her freshman season. She also improved her contributions defensively at four digs and nearly two blocks per match. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
