The SCVA held Event #1 on January 20th and 21st for the 15U and 17U age groups. The event location (Open Gym Premier in Anaheim, California) was packed with all courts being utilized. The energy inside was intense. Players were cheering, yelling, and encouraging each other on and off the court. With this new season, comes new names to the PrepDig platform. There are thousands of players between Southern and Northern California and we continue to look for and bring out those hidden gems. Meet four outside hitters below who deserve to be on the radar.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":503042,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Saniya Kimbrough","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"5'11u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"32564","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Long Beach Poly High School","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"Forza1 North 17 ONE","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"u003cstrongu003eSaniya Kimbroughu003c/strongu003e is a six-rotation player who has skillsets that are well-rounded for the game of volleyball. She can serve up an ace. She also knows how to adjust and attack from the back row. She is a smart player with a good volleyball IQ. What I enjoyed about watching her play was her ability to place the ball well. She has a powerful swing, finding open spots deep cross-court, down line, and hitting down the seam when the block is late. With that knowledge and changing to an outside hitter, makes her even more versatile in her position. Watching Brewer play, she knows how to block at the net with high hands and locked shoulders. She attacks the ball with height and power. She knows how to serve and pass the ball. Brianna can read the ball and defend the tips or setter dumps when playing back row.
