Highlights
Teegan Charapata Teegan Charapata 5'9" | OH Appleton North | 2025 State WI was highly efficient and effective for FC Elite 17 Navy enroute to their championship win on Sunday. The junior from Appeton North is coming off a big high school season that landed the Lightning in the final four. She is an outside hitter who showed she could take the shot the other side of the net gave her with going line, cross, sharp cross, or a roll shot over the block. She also had some big time defensive plays in set two and three of the championship match against Sting 16 Gold that really propelled the Elite squad to prolong the rally and win those key points.

Stewart and her high school teammate Alexa Hernandez Alexa Hernandez 5'7" | S Green Bay Southwest | 2025 State WI connected for some big time kills this weekend. The junior from Green Bay Southwest was named Co-FRCC Player of the Year in 2023 and was one of the top kill leaders in the state. She was on the right side this weekend where she came up clutch when FC Elite needed a kill or a big block. Her contact point is really high and she knows how to find the open space on the court. She will be in a position to have a big season as well as the next level where she can pass and serve receive as an outside or right side.
Sivak made her presence known as a freshman where she was a key player for the Oconomowoc state runner up squad and was named MVP of the 15 National Division in 2023 where Sting won the whole thing at USAV. However, this past weekend I saw a stronger, more athletic and physical Sivak at the net where she was dominant. She is making really good hand to ball contact where it sounds different. She was destroying the line shot early in the championship match and camp up big all tournament long. She is one of the top 2026 outsides in Wisconsin as well as the Midwest.
I take video clips throughout the weekend and when Allie Beers Allie Beers 6'0" | MB Slinger | 2026 State WI is in the front row, there is always a highlight waiting to happen. She played up on 16s last season and has reunited with her age group and a core group that has won a lot of games together with the 2026s of Milwaukee Sting . Her game is expanding where initially she was out of the middle, where now she is scoring points from the outside, right side, and is showing great promise in serve receive. She is one of the most lethal attackers in the state when she can terminate off one foot. There were times where she was thumping the eight foot line.
The Winona State commit was clutch for Wisconsin Ice who started Sunday out with a big win over Milwaukee Sting 17 Black. Ongna has a lot of length and athleticism, scoring plenty of points from outside and is also a threat out of the backrow as well. This Wisconsin Ice 18 Prep team is really scrappy, they find a way to keep the ball alive, a team that can be a problem for the other side of the net. When they are in system and can get Ongna the ball they are tough to stop.
Queen of the UP, Maddy Kreider was so fun to see take the floor this past weekend. Kreider is from Kingsford, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula and played for FC Elite 17 White in Appleton. She is such a catalyst for her squad who went 4-1 on the weekend and will be in action in 17 USA at the Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis this weekend. As a setter, Kreider has great footwork, soft hands, and finds a way to get her hands on the ball even in a scramble situation. She had a great connection with middle blocker Campbell Onell Campbell Onell 5'10" | RS Luxemburg-Casco | 2025 State WI all weekend. Dynamic is a great adjective to describe Kreider because she can do it all.
The Green Bay commit showed why she is one of the top attackers in the state. She won a D4 state title with Wonewoc-Center this past season and capped off a very decorated high school career. Elevate took a set off of Sting 16 Gold and made it to the Sunday Gold Bracket. Justman has physicality and athleticism where she has a fast arm, she has a lot of pop on her swing. Even her movement as a blocker she can fly and establish a strong position. The Green Bay recruiting class from 2024 is full of high level in-state talent.

Sophie Robinson Sophie Robinson 5'11" | OH Chippewa Falls | 2024 State WI and Paige Steinmetz Paige Steinmetz 5'10" | OH Chippewa Falls | 2024 State WI have been quite the duo during their high school career at Chippewa Falls where they have taken that program to new heights. The two pin hitters can do a little bit of everything. Robinson is a SIU-Edwardsville commit where Steinmetz will be heading to Southwest Minnesota State, a top D2 program that made this national tournament this past season. Robinson is a six rotation outside here she can score points from anywhere with a fast arm. Steinmetz has a really heavy swing where she knows how to tool the block. This Air VBC squad out of the Eau Claire area has a lot of sneaky good athletes who will win plenty of matches this club season.
Ashlin Nottestad
Ashlin Nottestad
I AM VBC in the North Shore Area (Cedarburg, Port Washington, Mequon, West Bend) has been improving each year where their teams are showing strong all around skill that is translating to high school and club success. I AM VBC 17 Red advanced to the gold bracket where one of their top outside hitters and point scorers over the weekend was Ashlin Nottestad. She has a heavy swing that is tough to take pace off of. She is a junior at Badger High School out of the Lake Geneva area.
Brooke Aslakson Brooke Aslakson 6'0" | MB Sussex Hamilton | 2025 State WI was lethal off the quick tempo sets for Milwaukee Sting 17 Black. She has a lot of length out of the middle and can hit a variety of tempos. This past high school season she was a breakout player as a middle for Sussex Hamilton where they were in the D1 final four. She can block, transition, and make herself available to score points. This Sting 17 Black team is going to be one to watch where they have a new combination of players, but a ton of promise with a well balanced attack with ball control. Ellie Bruns Ellie Bruns 5'5" | DS/L Menomonee Falls | 2025 State WI is one to watch at the libero position as well as she takes great command in the backrow.
