CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Quite a few of the Iowa Clubs here last weekend at the Mizuno UNI-Dome Challenge had their teams playing up an age group. It led to some interesting matchups, including talented Six Pack 18U and 17U facing off on Sunday in the 18s Division.

The 16s Division proved to be competitive with Six Pack 15U claiming the title with a 7-0 weekend. That squad made it clear that it will be a factor for the rest of the club season by winning 14 of 16 sets against mostly older competition.

Six Pack 15U

I'm not sure I could have been more impressed with Waukee freshman [player_tooltip player_id='443092' first='Malia' last='Rogers'] in my first in-person viewing of her. She played six rotations for the champs with excellent efficiency at all spots.

Rogers is gifted physically with her height and long arms. She marries those natural advantages with sharp volleyball skills and feel for the game. She boasts quick reflexes and sees the court well. The sky is the limit with her.

South Hardin's [player_tooltip player_id='555695' first='Lucy' last='Anderson'] complements Rogers with strong play at middle hitter. Anderson is a solid two-way player that makes focusing on Rogers difficult.

[player_tooltip player_id='394331' first='Maggie' last='Leifker'] from Dallas Center-Grimes offers versatility along the front row, standing out on the right side with a powerful, accurate swing. She defends the net as well.

Regina's Addison Bollier shows potential at libero. She moves well laterally, helping her get into position with a sound foundation for accurate passing. Dike-New Hartford freshman [player_tooltip player_id='555699' first='Haley' last='Badker'] and Kendall Works from Humboldt add to the excellent depth of this outfit.

Some other players that popped when I was making my way around the UNI-Dome:

[player_tooltip player_id='389013' first='Kruiz' last='Ewoldt'], OH, Adrenaline 16U Madison

[player_tooltip player_id='753942' first='Avery' last='Helmuth'], S, Adrenaline 16U Madison

Mia Heinrich, OH, RVA 16U Verona

Ava Mueller, OH/MH, RVA 16U Verona

[player_tooltip player_id='389058' first='Gretta' last='Secory'], DS, RVA 16U Verona

Ava Burkle, OH, Dyersville Intensity 16-1

Ella Sieck, DS, Fearless 16 Amy

Kami Hannemann, S, Blaze 16-1
