So much talent in such a small space, it will be hard for me to see everyone, let alone mention everyone for a preview. That being said, here is part two of three for teams going for one of a possible three bids this weekend at Hoosier Regionals.
Circle City 16 Black
After an impressive finish in Saint Louis this past weekend, the 2s squad at Circle will show off their size in a big way. Ella Vandermark Ella Vandermark 6'0" | MB Danville | 2026 State IN (’26, 6-0 MB, Danville) is as big and strong as they come on this roster, and her dynamic play should be a huge boost to get one of the available bids this weekend. Kenlee Barnard Kenlee Barnard 6'1" | S Evansville North | 2026 State IN (’26, 6-1 S/RS, Evansville North) is a big and physical setter from WAY down in Evansville that can attack as well as run an offense. I’d like to see her set full time, as that is the skill she makes look easier.
KeAloha 16-3 Waimea
Youth and skill emphasize this roster, and most can play multiple positions on this roster. Emily Aguilar Emily Aguilar 5'7" | OH Lowell | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-7 OH, Lowell) has a smart way about her, from how she defends to what she does with an out-of-system ball. Gabriela Barton Gabriela Barton 5'9" | RS Wheeler | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-9 RS, Wheeler) is a strong-armed right side at the moment, but I could easily see her be a three-rotation left side at the next level. Her high and heavy contact is impressive for her size.
Team Indiana Elite 16.1
One of the teams that will DEFINITELY be competing for the top spot in this tournament is the top 16s squad at TI. There is so much size and skill up and down this roster, and they will be a tough out no matter who plays them. Anabelle Schembra Anabelle Schembra 5'9" | S Center Grove | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-8 S, Center Grove) can run a 5-1 right now, and has the talent and potential to do it at the next level. Her athleticism and quickness gets her to a lot of bad passes that some kids just can’t get to. When things are in system, look for Miss Schembra to feed Elli Strecker (’26, 6-3 MB, Zionsville) early and often. Hitting against her is like hitting in a phone booth, and trying to block her means you have to be at her attack point, which is quite high for this age group.
