Michigan has put together some elite talent from this class already, but there are some really talented players that have gotten lost in the shuffle.
Here’s six players in our 2027 rankings that deserve a little more attention and could end up being among the best of the best in the class by the time 2027 comes around.
Camille Robinson Camille Robinson 5'10" | MB Harper Creek | 2027 State MI , MH Harper Creek
Robinson is a multi-sport star, so she can get lost in the shuffle during club season, but Robinson is definitely a star in the making on the volleyball court. As a freshman, Robinson played with tremendous confidence and poise. She’s listed as a middle but looks like she can develop into a six-rotation outside with her smooth defensive play and ability to finish anywhere along the net. Robinson is very explosive and her arm speed is at an elite level for a 2027 prospect.
Lily Tripi Lily Tripi 6'1" | S Utica Eisenhower | 2027 State MI , S Eisenhower/Michigan Elite
Tripi is a 6’1” setter that has a very high ceiling. Though she has a lot of length, Tripi will catch your eye with her ability to adapt to any situation and get low to the ground when she has to get under the ball. Tripi can run a fast offense and the ball has a great touch off her hands. She gets a lot of high-percentage swings out of her hitters and her ability to bring the best out of her middles is notable as well.
Avery Thorp Avery Thorp 6'1" | MB Plainwell | 2027 State MI , MH Plainwell/FaR Out
Thorp is somehow deceiving with her size and length. She’s listed as 6’1” but doesn’t necessarily look it approaching the court, but then you watch her play and see just how much her length is a factor. She’s able to attack over the top of the ball with relative ease. Her hangtime is solid, though it seems quite effortless for her. All of these attribute to Thorp punishing the ball, and often punishing opposing defenders.
Caylin Lindsay Caylin Lindsay 5'9" | OH Hartland | 2027 MI , OH Hartland/Michigan Elite
Lindsay got an opportunity to contribute to Hartland’s successful prep season and now she’s building on that this club season. Lindsay is consistent with her swing and delivery, but has the ability to make a split-second adjustment late in her swing to catch the blockers off guard. Lindsay generates a lot of good momentum on her swings and can place the ball well across the defense. As her defense continues to develop, she will be a big-time prospect for college coaches.
Brenna Mirovsky Brenna Mirovsky 5'7" | S Oxford | 2027 State MI , S Oxford/Michigan Elite
Mirovsky is a great energy player for the teams she is part of. She’s got a lot of natural leadership abilities which apply to her play as a setter. She communicates well and recognizes where the ball needs to be to finish tough points. This club season Mirovsky has been a solid defensive asset for Michigan Elite. She’s taken her energy and quickness to pick up some tough digs and be a steady passer. Mirovsky also has a serve that is always challenging for defenses to play cleanly.
Jordyn Jones Jordyn Jones 5'8" | OH Richmond | 2027 State MI , OH Richmond/Michigan Elite
Jones is definitely a hitter flying under the radar in this class. The Class of 2027 has a lot of impressive hitters and Jones can certainly hold her own in that discussion. She’s got a lot of hang time on her vertical, combined with lightning-fast arm speed. That has led to some eye-popping kills from her this club season and more are certainly to come in the years ahead. Jones always has good arm speed, but has the ability to dial it up a notch and really get aggressive during crucial points.
