A multi-sport athlete (Volleyball and Basketball), Emily can perform outstanding as an opposite or left side hitter. She got my attention during the hitting drills with her fast transition on and off the net, solid footwork, high ball contact and strong-arm wing. She carried the same high performance during the Sunshine Classic Qualifiers assisting her team scoring several kills and blocks on the right side. Emily is a must watch for her class of ’27.
Jasmin, a 6’0″ opposite from Virginia currently playing for Metro 15 Travel. Her performance during the showcase was dominant on the right side. She has an extended arm reach making high ball contact above and around the block. In addition to her hitting skills, she demonstrated great net awareness as she can read the hitters and establish an early block on the pin. Jasmin is on the way to establishing herself as a top right side on her state.

Journey is a lefty opposite with intense offensive power and serious blocking abilities. As I watched Journey during the hitting and team drills, she was placing the ball in serval areas on the court displaying a high level of volleyball knowledge and strategic offensive plays. Journey is a pivotal player for her club team as she is extremely effective on the net. She can swing the ball straight down the line and deep cross court hits with a high percentage of kills. As she continues to improve and explore new opportunities on the court, it’s clear that she will find a spot among the top opposites in her class of ’27.
Kya came from the “Lone Star State” to display her excellent hitting skills during the showcase. She captured the attention of the coaches with her jumping and hitting abilities. She can successfully attack the ball from both sides of the net making her an essential offensive player on her club team Alamo 14 Premier. Kya assisted her team with several kills during the Sunshine Classic Qualifiers where they achieve the 1st Place in the 14U Open. Kya is a must follow for her class of 2028.

Makenzey is a left-handed opposite playing in the 16U division for her club team. She got my attention at the showcase during the team matches as she was constantly attacking the ball and getting kills for her team. Makenzey knows how to use her substantial vertical jump to her advantage to move the ball around the block hitting balls deep on the lines and corners. Her transition off and towards the net is efficient as she gets ready to attack the ball. In addition to her volleyball skills, Mackenzey shows great communication with her teammates assisting the middle blocker to stop several hitters during the qualifiers. Makenzey is already experiencing one level up of playing, I’m sure she will continue to develop her hitting skills and become a top opposite player.
